Yzerman's on the ice? What, Ken?

#2373092 Perron's ridiculous dive.

This is appropriate for this thread.

Prime example of a dive as opposed to embellishment.

I hope the Wings really aren't this dreadful...

Anyone notice the teaser **** behind Babcock tonight? :D

That's, breasts...behind babs.

I KEEP MISSING THEM! That's the only good part of this game.

#2339917 What the Wings are doing for the fans

Center Ice would especially be a ripoff as a Wings fan this season. Out of 48 games, 13 are nationally televised (meaning either NBC, NBCS or NHL Network), which means Center Ice won't carry them. Not worth it.

#2338974 Toronto fires Brian Burke

Lest we forget...Burke signed Brett Lebda as a free agent. Two years at $1.45M per. Genius, he is not.

#2311986 Red Wings Sign Mikael Samuelsson to 2-yr, $6m deal (w/full NTC)

.........................................................................yay. Logo Hunter is back. <_<

#2311972 Still no decision from Suter. Speculation abounds.

Posted by edicius on 01 July 2012 - 05:04 PM

If Parise is leaning toward the Pens...well, it's his funeral.

#2311745 i hope we dont panic if suter and parise signs elsewhere

Posted by edicius on 01 July 2012 - 05:22 PM

I'm fairly confident Holland would offer the same for Parise's services.  It'll boil down to where he wants to play or in other words, Datsyuk vs. Crosby?

If Pittsburgh is offering only $7.5M/season for Parise? That's insulting. Parise can get lots more elsewhere. And contrary to popular belief, not everyone is dying to play with Crysob.

#2311628 Brodeur may test open market

Brodeur is posturing for money. He still wants a huge payday and Lou won't give it to him.

#2307387 2012-2013 Odds of winning the Stanley Cup

Posted by edicius on 14 June 2012 - 01:44 PM

I actually saw someone on Twitter (might have been Jesse Spector) saying the Penguins' first round was synonymous with Boston's epic fail the year before they won the Cup, basically saying that Pittsburgh would have a good shot to win the Cup next season.

Meanwhile, all I see is that the Penguins have gotten progressively worse each year since winning the Cup.

2009: Cup
2010: Lost in the 2nd round surrendering a 3-2 series lead to Montreal
2011: Lost in the 1st round surrendering a 3-1 series lead to Tampa Bay
2012: Lost in the 1st round (losing the first 3 games) giving up more goals in one round than the eventual Stanley Cup Champs would give up in four.

Yet all these bloggers continually drink the Kool-Aid and insist that Fleury is an elite goaltender. He's not.

#2305288 Vokoun moved to Pittsburgh for a 7th Round pick.

Wow, good move for Pittsburgh. I mean, if this was 2010.

#2304901 2012 SCF : Los Angeles Kings vs. New Jersey Devils

Posted by edicius on 02 June 2012 - 10:56 PM

Question: If the Devs win this series and their 4th Stanley Cup, do you see them as equal with the Wings in terms of dominance for the past 15-20 years?

Nope. Wings win 4 Cups in 11 years. Devils would be 4 in 17. Also consider that the Devils actually missed the playoffs twice during that span (once being the season immediately following their first Cup).
