It seems odd to me that a guy who is theoretically just coming into the prime years of his career and has proven to be worthy of 30-goal potential, along with ideal size, has been traded twice already early in his career. You could chalk it up to simply a financial decision in both cases, especially in Dallas, but maybe there is something about this guy that just doesn't mesh well in a dressing room.
Pretty sure our PP problems have a lot more to do with the retirements of one Lidstrom, Rafalski, and Holmstrom than McLellan. I find it hard to believe that Todd McLellan is simply that much smarter at organizing a PP system than Renney.
I'm pretty sure the difference between the DeKeyser and Mantha situation in regards to GR is the fact that Mantha plays major junior and DK was playing college. The CHL "protects" their assets a bit more than the NCAA.
Has anyone ever come across the exact reason why the league considers diving a match penalty?
I've never actually heard anyone from the league asked by someone in the media outright why that is the case with the diving rule. Which really bugs me. I mean, logically it simply does not make an iota of sense. Someone had to embellish a situation to get a call, implying the situation wasn't an offense at all in its organic form.
