#2239465 Commodore

I'd prefer the 3 of Ericsson, Kindl and Commodore consistently rotating until the top two really differentiate themselves before the playoffs. I'd like all these guys getting a fair amount of games in prep for the playoffs, where injuries are likely to happen.

It's pretty amazing how far Datsyuk's physical game has come along. He used to get knocked on his ass from a stiff breeze. His hits are often brutal because his opponent Is always completely surprised by it. His hits are like his dangles.

#2236307 Chris Pronger to miss remainder of 11/12 season & playoffs

Hmmm... Crosby and Pronger both out?

I'm almost regretting my brief foray into voodoo.

#2232171 Crosby is like who?

Yzerman is close. But I think this is an even closer comparison:

Except that kid can still grow a better playoff beard.

Honestly, Yzerman is a much closer comparison.
Speed, grit with great playmaking plus goal scoring.

I'd be disappointed if Holland did not at least attempt to make a splash at the trade deadline - it could be the last playoff run with Lidstrom.

#2225090 Ryan Miller's opinion on Milan Lucic

Would have loved to see Hasek in that situation ala Gaborik - probably would have been nuts enough to fight Lucic too.

At this point I am praying for Little Ceasers Pavilion/Palace over the dreaded Amway Arena.

#2207700 Traverse City Tournament

Why would someone need to chase any anyone for a hockey discussions? That makes no sense.

I'm just praising the Red Wings organization for building playoff teams each and every year. Holland realizes the team doesn't need fighters to win. In fact, the Red Wings enforcer is typically the power play. I endorse their philosophy because it works. For example, the guy who say Smith can fight... well good. But when he's on the top 4, we need him to quarter back the power play, not sitting in the box. I prefer winning games, not beating the s*** out of other players.

Red Wings, as is, is tough enough with fighters. Bertuzzi, Abby, Ericsson... they don't need to fight 3 times per game, but 1 or 3 times per year *if* needed. Wings don't need to fight to fight, they need to win games and go to the SCFs and try to win cups.

Nice backtracking... Your earlier posts were so full of hyperbole I could do nothing but laugh. No one here is pushing for a bunch of goons like you were adamantly arguing against.

1-3 fights for a team in the NHL is embarrassing- easily the lowest in the history of the NHL.
In 2008 the Wings had 21 fighting majors and 13 last year.

Your opinions are pretty ridiculous and ignore the nature of the NHL and hockey.

I hope this means the Brad "O-Zone" Stuart experiment is over. He's better in more of a stay-at-home role - let Kronwall do the pinching this year.
