Ok I need your guys advice for my dynasty in NHL 06. I finished my first dynasty season with wining the cup, so the offseason came. I went through the draft really quick, didnt sign any of them   and moved on. Then the contracts of Yzerman and Osgood were up. Assuming that Yzerman and Chelios would retire, I didnt re-sign Osgood so I could sign a UFA goalie. So I moved on and it said that I have some contracts not signed and etc etc etc but at the buttom it said would you like to go through to the season and let the coaches decide to re-sign them, OR go back and re-sign them yourself. I picked to let the coaches or (CPU) do it. Turns out by doing that, I couldnt sign UFA's myself. So it simed through Oct. 5th 2006, and Chelios retired and they gave Yzerman a new conrtact, which is fine with me. BUT I still had Osgood and Lilja and a bunch of players who I didnt want. So......

Traded
Osgood for Kolzig
Hudler for Witt
Signed r. whitney as UFA and traded him for Langenbrunner
Lilja/D.maclean for Gratton

And I released: Mowers, Manlow, and Bykov.

So do you think my offseason trades were good? Or bad?

Do you guys think that we need to trade someone to get a replacement for fischer? There are a lot of heavy weight d-man out there that could be on the trading block.

Hey I have NHL 06 which is awsome! but they have dave lewis as the coach for the wings. Is there anyway I can fire a coach and hire a new one in dynasty mode?
