Blashill is great until the first time he trots out lines people hate. Assuming he gets the job, he will do good things and bad things. People will disagree with him. In the end I doubt he's better than Babcock even if he gets a bit better results. Even if the players are mostly the same next year, which is likely, young guys will be a year more experienced, older guys will be a year slower, meaning it won't be the same team.
Aren't we ignoring the bull in the glass house regarding the Babcock coaching decision? I think Babs and many others with him are doubtful that the Red Wings will make the playoffs next season.
Moving out and letting Blashill handle that, in a sense acts as a dampener on that predicament. It Has to factor in for atleast 2 parties involved, namely Babcock and Ken Holland.
Babs sure as hell does not want that on his resumé. He'd rather coach the Leafs, which truly must be hopeless.
All that tells me is Don Cherry was right when he said once when babs goes to another team and is exposed on how bad he really is. And that he has been playing on the coat tails of Bowmans players this whole time. I am starting to lean that way with him as well.
I'm not really sure why you're so upset about people commenting on what is, without question, the biggest story in hockey right now.
Seriously what's the problem? You just don't like that I'm talking about Babcock in two Babcock related threads? Or you don't like that I feel differently about it than you obviously do?
I don't get why when someone talks about how they hate how a player dives and slashes and cross check that it turns into "why do so many people hate said player so much and give him so much hate" No one in this thread has said anything near that they hated the guy as strong as some people claim....Yeah we hate the way he cross checks,dives..slashes his way around in games and doesn't get called. That's what I hate. Yes is is very talented no one is denying that at all. He is just needs to grow up..stop crying like a punk...stop with the cheap slashes, cross checks...slew foots and dives and he would be an awesome player. Have you guys forgotten how many times he has done this to wings players in the games with no retribution? I think that's why he does it. Wings are way too soft on him.
He didn't break his wrist. He has a microfracture in one of the bones in his wrist. Micro, as in tiny.
And if you did I bet that to me I bet it would hurt like hell and I would fall to the ground, but I still probably wouldn't flail around like my hand got cut off. And I'm nowhere near as tough as most hockey players are that's for sure.
We're talking about hockey players here. He needs to grow a pair.
I got to ask...How do you know how it felt? Micro fractures from what I read can be awful. You get them in the knee and you could be out
4-6 months....so just because it's "micro" as you said it doesn't mean its a small injury.
