#2204377 Crosby's 2012 Season now in Question

it's pretty pathetic that some of you would wish to see one of the best point producers and most talented players in the nhl never take step on the ice again just because you're still bitter about a SCF loss a few years ago.

all this talk about his "character" make it seem like he's sean avery.

get a grip.

also, LOL at maltby "not being a ******". talk about homer-goggles at their worst.

Your posts make me laugh. So funny.

As for Crosby's "GREAT" character what do you say about other players in the league saying the same thing that has been said here about how he acts or conducts himself?

I think your views of him as a person are pretty skewed and mostly based on what year hear people saying (whether there is anything to back it up or not). I'd challenge you to spend a week following him around everywhere and actually get to know what the guy is all about and then come back and tell me what you think about the guy as a person, his character, etc.

That's not totally true. Haven't we seen it where even other hockey players were saying he whines a lot and we have seen the diving first hand. those are people that do know him fairly well so i would say Majsheppard has a fairly close assessment of him from everything from what fans have seen and players alike. Although I do feel he was thrown into it a little too fast being the so called "face" of the nhl and all before any nhl games were played. I is hard on a young kid sometimes to be thrown into something like that too early.

#2203457 Third line players who suck

Posted by hillbillywingsfan on 12 August 2011 - 12:16 PM

I love these "SET UP" threads. Why start a whole thread to just have everyone say the same things to you and you argue their points...we have seen these over and over and over....and over. I'm sure all wings fans would love for Hudler to be better then he is...and yes sometimes he looks and feels better than a 3rd liner but to me in my eyes it happens less. He to me is just one of those cursed players on a stacked team that will never sniff the top line much where im sure he would excel more. On another team if he were getting top line play im sure he would be an above avg player but here he to me is avg to below.

#2203274 Bold predictions for the year!

Posted by hillbillywingsfan on 11 August 2011 - 11:00 AM

Calling that for White is not bold. It's logical analysis.

Ericsson will steady his play and play more physical, but he'll still be on the third pairing. He might even get himself played out of the lineup if Kindl really breaks out.

Awfully bold to predict Franzen to have *another* 40+ year, when his career high is 34. Or awfully stupid.

Hudler having a 50+ season may be considered bold but is certainly not unreasonable.

Mursak will likely take Miller's spot by December.

Are you seriously saying what someone posted on here is stupid? seriously after the wondrous stuff you have posted about Hudler? wow. hahaha
Keep it up champ.

#2202156 Weber Arbitration hearing...

Posted by hillbillywingsfan on 03 August 2011 - 08:58 AM

This just shows that everything I have said about the Nashville Predators is true! A JOKE Organization!! You are not going to come to terms with your franchise player????? WTF!! This would be like the Wings saying see ya to Zetterberg or Datsyuk!! And yet, people still follow the Preds, but then again the people down there in TN are not the sharpest pencils in the box either!

have you ever seem hardcore pawn? i would watch that before judging people in Nashville/TN. :D

#2199287 Chris Osgood announces retirement

Posted by hillbillywingsfan on 19 July 2011 - 09:10 AM

It sucks to see him retire, but I don't blame him for wanting to move on.

We'll all say the same thing the day you stop posting here.

I will miss osgood and if its true i'm happy that he will be taking a position with us in some other form.

#2188453 No, No, NO! Jagr interested in Detroit.

Posted by hillbillywingsfan on 23 June 2011 - 03:58 PM

With Holland saying the ball is in Jagr's court and he wants to know before July 1st and the report by Jagr's agent saying they are going to wait till July 1st to sign a contract, Does that mean Jagr's chances for Detroit are now gone like his mullet?

I want mulleted Jagr=(

#2184827 Will Nicklas Lidstrom Retire?

Posted by hillbillywingsfan on 13 June 2011 - 09:12 AM

Because he isn't as good as he was in 02.

Which means he should be paid league minimum. Duh.

Shoot he should have been getting less a few years now......... :hehe:

I think I'm with some of you here. I just have a bad feeling he will retire. I hope he goes 1 more year.

BTW Doc...you have to add Posted Image to your sig.=)

#2183282 Aaron Rome

Posted by hillbillywingsfan on 07 June 2011 - 11:45 AM

You're wrong...

This isn't the horribly dirty hit you're playing it out to be. It was an illegal hit, sure, but what's getting it attention is that Horton was hurt. If he weren't hurt, it would have been a two-minute penalty for interference and this thread wouldn't exist. Bear in mind too that many players are injured on clean hits.

How is "accordingly" 5+ games for a hit like this? One is not punished based on the severity of the injury.

Everyone in the hockey analysis world disagrees with you.

I agree with you on this. Yes it was a tad late..barely. was not a shot to the head. I think some people need to "re-watch" the video a little more close and not have the hate on for the nucks when watching. I think if any 1-2 games...thats it. But thats just me.

well there you go. 4 games.

#2181769 James Wisniewski

Posted by hillbillywingsfan on 01 June 2011 - 03:13 PM

I know it's only a couple of incidents, but they make me question his decision making.

if these 2 videos make you dislike the guy then please don't watch any of chelios's old videos =)

Me personally i love the avery taunt and that hit on seabrook may it be a little high was not like it was blind sided or anything. i think we need someone with a little more sandpaper like that. thats why i miss downey so much.

The Avery taunt per what some were saying was just Wisniewski telling Avery to brush his teeth. geez=)
