I completely agree. That's not what I'm talking about though.

The point is that some people here need to have their cake and eat it too. The fact of the matter is that while the Wings are likely the best team in the NHL this year, it's not as if they're going to run over every opponent every single night by a score of 6-0. They're going to win more games than likely any other team in the NHL, 1/4 of those being blowouts (3+ goal wins), while the rest are going to be 1 or 2 goal victories. That's my point.

That is true. As long as victory is earned, I don't care if the score is 6-0 or 2-1, two points is two points.

In what? The code of hockey ethics?

Is Modano supposed to think "You know, it was a freak accident, but I demand a public apology for his actions!"

Come on.

Didn't Draper have a problem with Lemieux not doing so in 1996?

#2067107 Controversy in Pittsburgh

Posted by Hockeytown0001 on 22 November 2010 - 04:36 PM

Basically, this is the exact opposite of the Brad May situation. In that instance, the puck enters the goal, the whistle blows, and it's ruled no goal. In Pittsburgh, the whistle blew, then the puck entered the goal, and it's ruled good goal. Odd how that works.
