Also this team will be hungrier next year, knowing they so far have been the toughest Chi has seen so far but had the least experience. For people have been following the minor league at least during the playoffs, the future of the Wings is really bright. This team will be scary with Tatar up next year, and if Jurco can continue with his playoff abilities he may force some hands.

Not unless it was separated in game 1. Cleary was terrible all year, and needs to no longer be on the rosterGo fricking figure.
Will this shut the Cleary cretins up? Will this get them off his back?
Nawww....Hell, he shoulda been scoring goals even with a broken back.
And don't tell me that was only for the last two games. Did any of you see him let up? To all of you Cleary haters out there, move on and get.a.life. Pick on someone your own size because you'd never ever fit in his skates.

Smyth by far was the worst player on the ice, in the series, and perhaps the entire playoffs. He deserves all the s*** he gets, he played terrible. But he's young and he is like every other Wings dman through the system looks like bust to most. In about 2/3 years he will be praised.
Right now he should be slapped though

Dumbcan Keith quote. He just sounds dumb.
“Isn’t it supposed to be a penalty when their fans are throwing things on the ice?'' Keith said. “I think it’s in the rule book. Maybe we can get a power play from that.”
man the Hawks have been such victims this series

I imagine Juniors is far different then NHLHe's not another Gretzky. He's had a lot of success with the Quebec Ramparts and shown that he deserves the job regardless of his playing career.

That's fine, I think a majority disagree with you though. He was responsible for a 2 goal swing alone (Not shooting/not covering his man). Anytime he touches the puck he turns it over, he will try to skate into the zone, dump it to them, or trap himself against the boards and have it taken.Yep. It's all on Danny. Forget the fact that there were consistent and incessant f***-ups all over the ice last night by every one of our guys except Howard. This Cleary crap has become weirdly obsessive and way over-simplistic. And NO. I do not agree that he is consistently the worst player on the ice.

We have a very promising defensive prospect pool. This Sproul kid is the real deal offensively. I'm really excited about our future.
Oullett, Jensen, Backman, Sproul, all the tops of their leagues.

I thought the Wings played good enough to win, and Hiller just wasn't going to let it happen.
A few people on this board should really reflect on their opinions before they express them. They scream the Wings will be a lottery pick at the beginning of year. Then when that changed, we are just going to be medicore, then we won't make the playoffs. Now we do make the playoffs, those same people previously stating we won't do anything, are now complaining about us losing Game 1, against the number 2 seed, at their rink, and with a terrible line up and combos all year long (according to majority of the board). So which is it, is it SC worthy and under achieving or is it a lottery team that is over achieving?

Best part is, we have players on this team right now that are holding us back. Once the Clearys and co. are gone, a lot of GR will be pushing. We seem like we have massive depth in both defense and offense in the next few years. I believed this year was; If Babcock missed the playoffs he would have been held responsible, however if the team got in despite everything, he deserves the damn Jack Adams.

Dan Cleary is the worst player on the Red WingsI just feel really bad for Dan Cleary.
This could be his last chance to win another Cup, and his teammates and Howard let him down.

I have no idea what Babs is doing here but why do we have Damien Brunner playing the point when in fact he is not a sniper, probably one of the weakest players on our team when it comes to shooting (besides Helm) and he is not a good defensive forward. Give me Kindl!
I'm going to have to disagree as well. I don't like him on the PP point, but he in my opinion has a fantastic shot
He needs to sit for Tatar
I also disagree with this. Cleary needs to sit, he provides nothing
