If it is true it makes you wonder what the hell is going on with management now. This situation is stupid enough but to have a guy find out form the media that he's going on waivers?

I think its due to Mr. I's disappearance (this was a big story in the Freep a couple of weeks ago). Yes, I know it's his age and health, but the press is picking up on the leadership vacuum. Perhaps Chris isn't picking up the slack, and Holland has free reign now for the first time ever.
Well, if Franzen has issues like that keeping him back in the NHL, then in the interest of both sides, he really should take the buyout, go play in the SEL again (I'm sure he will immediately improve in a more comfortable environment) and let the Wings move on.
Meanwhile, I really do hope and yes, even pray, that Rinne makes a full recovery. That is not how we, as Wings fans, want to see anyone go out... Much less one that has been a decent rival in the past. Thanks for the updates.
