#2225373 Ryan Miller's opinion on Milan Lucic

Posted by Crashnburnluder on 14 November 2011 - 06:01 PM

Okay, if everyone is saying it wasn't intent to injure, then what was it??? He clearly wasn't tryIng to separate the man from the puck (it was already gone), you don't protect your self by throwing all 240 so lbs at Miller when the picks heading to the corner. Then follow through with ur hands. I won't even point out the fact he was laughing about it. Fact is Lucic tried to hit a player, that legally isnt allowed to be hit, and didn't have the puck, while receiving a charging penalty. Its either that or he was trying to avoid hitting him all together and 200+ lucic was trying to protect him self from a goalie who was standing still and defensiveness???

Lucic saw his chance to take a shot at Miller and he did. This isn't whether u feel like goalies should be fair game outside the crease because that isn't in the rules. He CAN'T be hit.

This is also why I had a problem with no call on Thomad for flattening Sedin in the crease. The goalies aren't allowed to be hot, they shouldn't be able to hit back. If thst is legal Hasek flipping Gabby is legal, atleast Hasek attempted at the puck.

These are NHL players they know what they are doing he ran over miller with no other intent but to take him out. If you disagree please explain to me your side and don't just neg me, id love to hear u out...

Just a stupid stupid play by Lucic, and I for one hope some one on Buffalo finds the balls to take him next time they play. As for people saying that miller trying to slash him in the head??? Comparing it to Mcsorley??? That's a joke in its self. He took a one handed half ass swipe at Lucics legs, and people are saying that is disgusting. Stuff like that happens 20x a game behind the play.

As for Miller speaking his mind, I'm glad he did. I understand why some are of you are calling it fair game but the rules are the rules. If you make it open season on goalies half the starters would be hurt in the first two months. The are protected for a reason. Players wouldnt hit a goalie to knock him off the puck, which a lot of the hits in the NHL are. They would hit the goalie to get him out of the game. To hurt him to get the back up in.

#2224421 2012 NHL All Star fan ballot released

Posted by Crashnburnluder on 11 November 2011 - 02:49 AM

I already mailed in my ballots for Crosby and Staal, both have had a great jump this season. The things they are doing is this league are bar none. I have seem some of the video clips of Crosby at practice, wow I don't even understand why he is on the ballot figured he would already be the captain.

#2213884 Patches on sleeves

Posted by Crashnburnluder on 10 October 2011 - 10:07 AM

Yes please do, I'm getting a new datsyuk jersey and I'm a big patch guy, I want one with this patch badly. I still love my Nike Shanny jersey with my Stanley cup patch and VK&SM patch from 98. I'm so glad the organization is doing this all season. I like patches a million times better because it's something the fans get get and wear too. Nothing against what other teams do or abything I just reslly love patches. I think the NHL should have added the Lokomotiv logo on the back of every jersey on the bottom corner, but I do understand it's another league.

Either way I love the Red Wings Organization

#2210953 NHL will Look into Fighting: Shanahan

Posted by Crashnburnluder on 30 September 2011 - 01:44 PM

I honestly don't know what I would do if the NHL got rid of fighting. It has it's place in the game and is needed. Things would get a lot worse if players didn't have to worry about dropping the gloves, and there would be a lot more chespshots and bad hits...

While were at it why don't they start using a ball instead of a puck, it's a lot safer for players and goalies a like, and without fighting, might as well go mandatory full cage.

#2210582 Fabian Brunnstrom

Posted by Crashnburnluder on 29 September 2011 - 01:42 PM

December is a long ways away. A trade involving another player Aka Hudler or someone could happen before then. Brunnstrom or Emmerton could excel greatly and make someone else like Miller more expendable. So many things can happen in the time before Mursak returns. I say keep Emmerton on the Wings roster, sign Brunnstrom and leave Conner in the AHL to start the season. I think Connor would be the easiest to pull up and send down if we need more call ups. Tatar also is available for call ups and he is still waiver exempt.

#2204525 Bold predictions for the year!

Posted by Crashnburnluder on 19 August 2011 - 05:16 PM

He wasn't offered up as "please take him for anything" he was offered for a 1st round pick, in a year where Holland had plenty of cap space and there were many good free agent forwards. That's a huge difference.

#2204308 Bold predictions for the year!

Posted by Crashnburnluder on 18 August 2011 - 08:07 AM

Franzen has scored 72 goals and 135 points in 174 games over the past three seasons. That's an average of 24 goals and 21 assists in 58 games each season. Or, for an 82 game season, it works out to 34 goals and 30 assists. But over his six seasons, Franzen has played 395 games, an average of 66 games. He's in his early 30s and is fairly injury prone, he is very streaky, and his work ethic on the defensive side of the puck is worse than any other player on the team; this is particularly sad given the fact that he started his career as a defensive center.

Hey you gotta give Eva some credit with this never say die attitude.... Eva just never quits...

My one bold prediction

Eva will name drop Hudler in a thread atleast three times a day for the entire season. Even if he gets traded.

Not overally bold unless you account on days where the board is down or Eva forgets to pay the internet bill...

#2202066 Weber Arbitration hearing...

If Nashville walks away from Weber and Holland doesn't get him signed. I think LGW.com will have a meltdown....

#2200262 Ok here is what I don't get

Posted by Crashnburnluder on 21 July 2011 - 10:58 PM

One name.... Tim Thomas... Easily the Conn Smythe winner even if they lose game 7....

SJ was a great offensive team and so was Vancouver... But Boston was a great two way team with a Great goaltender who beat out a great goaltender who crumbled under the pressure...

#2200152 RFA/UFA Signings

Posted by Crashnburnluder on 21 July 2011 - 03:12 PM

I know everyone keeps saying why trade propects and picks for Semin as a rental. Only thing being he really isn't a rental. If a deal would happen and he played up to par I would be pretty confident in Semin re-signing with the Wings. Yes, It is a risk that maybe he wont resign but if he does it will be at a lot cheaper rate then in free agency.

The other thing I don't understand is a lot of fans here are saying they don't want Semin because he is a free agent next season but a couple weeks ago there were a lot of people complaining we didn't make a better deal then SJ did for Brent Burns. Who is in the same spot as Semin, a rental with a possibility of re-sigining here.

I'm all for Semin in the right deal (I won't get into what I would trade and such because at the end of the day only Holland can call George McPhee and ask what he is looking for in a return) I think he will give us the Extra bunch on our offensive line and if we still could have a couple million depending who we trade (assuming Hudler, or Filppula would be traded)

#2198359 Still some noise about Wings picking up a top 4 Dman

Posted by Crashnburnluder on 13 July 2011 - 04:21 PM

I dont think we need a top 4 D... I want a winger with our cap space...

It is Kronwall's time to get a bigger role with the Wings. He can take over as the number 2 defenseman with White and Stuart in the 3/4 slots. In stead of worrying about trying to replace Rafalski and Lidstrom we only have to replace 1. Kronwall can be a number 2 on our team and the added pressure of knowing he needs to play up to that level could push him.
