#2294997 Parise, Suter AND Semin

Do you watch hockey? Semin floats around and doesn't play defense. Posters complain about Mule, wait until you see Semin.

Western Michigan sophomore D Danny DeKeyser, arguably top U.S. college free agent, has decided to return to school next season. -- Bob McKenzie (@TSNBobMcKenzie)

Well there you go.

Karlsson will win, hes going to put up 80+ points. There should probably be an award for Best Offensive Defensemen and another for Best Defensenen.

#2264768 Legacy of Ken Holland

Posted by wingsdiehard13 on 28 February 2012 - 07:41 PM

Great list! With the different colors it was tough on the eyes, and made it look 3D

How many GM have a resume like Holland? No one's even close! He's come out ahead on most of his deals, and it's about 80-90% ahead.

Also 8 years later I still think that Lang deal was good, and would do it again. Green hasn't had a good season in 2 years, and who know if he'll ever be the same player. Lang helped us get to the Conference Finals in 2007, giving the rest of the team the confidence they needed, without Yzerman, for the 2008 Cup run.

Exactly. Hindsight is always 20/20 but there is no one here who wouldn't deal a prospect and a 1st for guy who is leading the league in scoring.

I can't be alone in saying this is a complete waste of time. It's so cheesy and catered way too much to the non-regular hockey fan.

This makes absolutely no sense for Nashville.

#2198960 Things you're hoping to see more of this season.

Posted by wingsdiehard13 on 17 July 2011 - 07:54 PM

Howard having as good of regular season as this past years playoffs.

Filpulla putting up 65 points.

Hudler having a good regular season and then walking away as a UFA next offseason.

I guess that last one is more of a prediction.

They will be in the market for a foreward now. give them hudler in exchange for a first rounder and a late round pick. or hudler for boll and a late rounder.

Yeah, Boll, 1st rounder... Pretty much the same thing.

Who in our farm system is worth the same as Schenn or the 8th overall draft pick? No one. Come on guys.

#2167378 No lineup changes for Game 4

This pisses me off that Modano doesn't get to play. This may be his last game and badcock does this to him :ranting:

Yes, because Babcock is paid to be sentimental.

Who would he scratch? Modano doesn't bring anything more than the current line-up. He can fly, sure, but Babcock is going to but the guys who give us the best chance to win.

With the goalie interference non-call last night, I thought I would give a reminder of the bogus goalie interference calls we've had in the past.

Unfortunatly my program wouldn't allow sepia tone.

Posted by wingsdiehard13 on 20 January 2011 - 01:36 PM

What about getting him by having to pay 1/2 his salary ... 50% discount?

A team claiming him would have to pay his full salary. Only on re-entry waivers does a team pay half a players salary that you are referring to.

Red Wings "pretty close" to signing Patrick Eaves, Drew Miller, and Derek Meech; not close to deals with Justin Abdelkader and Darren Helm.

DETROIT -- The Detroit Red Wings are close to signing forwards Patrick Eaves and Drew Miller and defenseman Derek Meech, three of their restricted free agents, to one-year contracts.

“I’ve talked a lot with them the last two, three days and feel we’re pretty close,’’ Red Wings general manager Ken Holland said.

Eaves and Miller did not file for salary arbitration by Monday’s deadline. Meech filed for arbitration, but it appears he’ll have a contract well before his hearing.

Holland said he’s not close to signing his other two restricted free agents, forwards Darren Helm and Justin Abdelkader. They likely will be re-signed later this summer, possibly to long-term deals.

Holland said he hadn't spoken with the agents for forward Kirk Maltby and defenseman Andreas Lilja in a week or so. Both are exploring the market.
