I haven't heard anything either, but it doesn't look good for him. It's a shame because he's a guy who the Wings could really use for the playoffs.

Well, he was pretty much the most dominant player in the KHL last season and won a Gagarin Cup with Salavat, so maybe he just wants a shot at the Stanley Cup as well? I know he looks terrible going about it in this way, but his KHL club has been eliminated so instead of just taking the money and resting in the off-season he now wants to enter the playoffs with his NHL team. To me that says that he's a competitor and wants to win so I don't get all the hate.

I hate to admit it, but yeah he's the best player in the league. It's just his on-ice attitude that makes him unlikeable by non-Pens fans. Hopefully after missing so much time from concussion issues he'll learn to tone down the temper tantrums and just go out and play. I doubt he wants to bring about the wrath of some goon that just wants to take his head off.

Oh good. Just what sporting events need - more drunks. Letting people drink themselves into alcoholic stupors is totally responsible, and not at all going to affect the quality of the game for those unfortunate enough to be seated near these people.
Since the tent is outside I would assume that most of the folks coming for the beer special aren't necessarily attending the game. Either way, at least it will bring people to a hockey game in Florida.

I just shake my head thinking about how the NHL lost an entire season to keep salaries in check. Now the Cap is going from 39 mil to 72 mil in a span of 7 years.
Exactly. It's obvious that the hard cap is not working. Sure, there is more parity among the league, but these inflated contracts are getting out of hand. A soft cap with a luxury tax is by far the best alternative to just completely removing the cap altogether (of which I am in favor).

I love how everyone assumes Hudler and Kindl are the asking price for any team's star offensive player. Selanne won't be a Red Wing, and please, no more lines threads...

Get rid of the instigator and I bet you'd see more guys on the current roster drop the mitts. The Wings are just coached not to take unnecessary penalties and I think people calling for Holland to get a "tough guy" for the 4th line tend to forget this at times. The only real need I see for this team is a consistent goal-scoring winger for the top six, but I'd rather Holland wait until the offseason than give up too much to get one extra piece.
Oh, and Don Cherry still thinks it's the 70s for some reason. He has no real grip on hockey in the modern era.

It would be nice if NHL officials started making calls in his favor like they do for every other goalie in the league. We all know Holland won't trade for an enforcer.

I think those defending Crosby are looking at the situation a bit askew. He adds an excitement to the league when he's playing, but to say it would be a huge blow to the NHL if he never played again is reaching.

2 penalties, no points and only 1 shot on goal so far against the Blues. Funny how he doesn't look so awesome when not playing one of the worst teams in the league...

How is biting someone who sticks his or her hand in your face a "sadistic" behavior? You're saying that if someone were trying to reach into your mouth in a violent fashion, you would just let them do it? I just cannot comprehend your logic in saying that if you bite someone in a hockey game you're going to be the next Jeffrey Dahmer. I don't agree with biting as I think it's childish and unsportmanslike, but not a sign of a mental disorder or instability.

Am I the only one in favor of bringing back Miller? Sure, he doesn't score much, but I like his defensive game. I still like him as our 13th forward, which would give Mursak and whoever else more playing time.
