Most recent posted projected lines earlier this evening were as follows...

Then it was later stated that Tatar was back in, Sammy is likely out. My mindset working with the lineups from practice today, that puts Tatar on the 2nd line in place of Sheahan bumping him to the 3rd. Knowing Glendening is also listed at RW he is likely less valuable than Eaves on that position putting Glendening on the 4th line RW spot kicking Eaves up to the 3rd and having Emmerton take 4th line center.

It is projected, when it comes to making the graphics, updating it before gametime, and getting it posted up the night before because of my own personal schedule, sometimes there is a lot of guessing and speculating for lines and whatnot. Sometimes it's logical, sometimes it's like tossing darts because who knows what it's going to look like tomorrow.

#2472989 Steve Ott to possibly be moved to Detroit.

Posted by MabusIncarnate on 14 January 2014 - 05:10 PM

This is just speculation, but to me it would make sense. Generally what makes sense to us doesn't make sense to upper Wings management so i'm not going to consider this a possibility. I think he would be a good fit here, he's obviously got some leadership skills, isn't afraid to hit and stick up for his team mates, and would add some much needed grit and passion to the team. You hate him when he's not on your team because that is the kind of presence he brings to the ice, and I think that is the kind of player we are lacking.

I'd welcome Ott with open arms, I just don't see it happening.

You're missing Gustavsson on the depression chart.

I would be happy with a point tonight. Ducks are almost unbeatable at home and our situation is as it is. Gonna be a tough one for Mraz, hope he does well and gets some decent support. It would be good if we can keep the shots in the 20s or 30s and not the 40s like yesterday.

I fixed it, it's updated. Thanks for the info, honestly just overlooked it while making the GDT.

Updated, used some of my creations from last years Photoshop War against the Ducks.

Looks like Getzlaf is in to play, i'm still confident we can pull out the W here.

#2471926 Cleary should be suspended for elbow to head

Posted by MabusIncarnate on 10 January 2014 - 04:18 PM

Yes, before this spins out of control as another Cleary bash fest let's focus on the topic here and redirect any aggressiveness towards him back to the Cleary Hate Thread. This is about the possibility of suspension from the elbow in question, it doesn't need to be derailed further than that.

I believe it is absolutely suspendable, and there is no reason why he shouldn't get at least two games for it. Even as a Wings fan that generally defends the actions of the team, logically there really is no way to write this one off.

I for one would be surprised if he skated away from this without penalty.

#2471831 What is going on in Edmonton?

Posted by MabusIncarnate on 10 January 2014 - 02:08 AM

A player like Jagr or Alfredsson would have suited them this past offseason. There is also an obvious lack of goaltending in their system that has gone unfixed for too long, and they have had their opportunities. Maybe it's the coaching, maybe it's the management, but Kylee above pretty much summed it up. Edmonton is a mess.

This season has been Murphys Law so far, Anything that can go wrong will go wrong. Questionable contract signings and re-signings, a stunning amount of injuries, and a pretty bad start in the East for Detroit.

The optimist can also say it could be much worse. Considering all the woes this season, our record could be tremendously worse and there could be a much deeper hole to scrape out of.

This team is capable of contending when healthy, but with consistent injuries to key players that continue to occur it's an ongoing struggle. Who knows what the remainder of this season will bring but stick it out because that's what Wings fan do. All we can do as fans is continue watching, supporting, and cheering on our boys in red and white. It's been a rough road but we'll survive, there have been worse spots than this in the past.

#2471588 Brian Rafalski signs with ECHL team

Posted by MabusIncarnate on 09 January 2014 - 10:21 PM

If he hadn't retired and still played here everyone would be complaining that he's 40 years old and hasn't retired yet.

I hope for the best for Raf, he did depart too early but even a consideration of having him return now, no thanks.

#2471382 THN came up with the All-Snubs Olympic rosters

Posted by MabusIncarnate on 08 January 2014 - 04:33 PM

I legitimately feel like one of the worst snubs aside from Giroux was Hudler. Him being a legend aside, he's tearing it up in Calgary with 35 points this year, and he's happy huddles! Who wouldn't want that face representing their country?

And I mean seriously, Petr Nedved makes it?

#2471381 Certain NHL attendance metrics are better than NBA

Posted by MabusIncarnate on 08 January 2014 - 04:25 PM

This is actually good news, the NHL is seeing growing support regardless of the lockout problems. Maybe if more players were outspoken and threw their fingers in the cameras screaming they were number one it would gain more popularity and be on par with the NBA but I prefer having humble players with a reasonable amount of sportsmanship over a bunch of cocky showboats like the NBA is filled with. It's a team sport and the NHL seems to understand that for the most part, there are a lot more individuals that like to make it known that it's "all them" and enjoy talking about themselves over the team effort to gain more of the spotlight.
