Change the 2nd line = more goals.
I thought we were banged up, probably the first time all season the opposing team has more injuries than we do.
Howard keeps us in it yet again, wings win 3-1 with an empty netter.

Not to mention he's been a +5 in the past few days, but his plus/minus isn't what's exciting here. Lidstrom was a scoring machine, sure Kronwall isn't going to match the defensive godliness of Nick but what player in the current NHL does? Having Kronner step in and produce like this so far is very assuring for this team, he doesn't need to be traded or bought out, he needs to stay right here. The more he's scoring and the more we are winning the more confidence he will build and begin to improve all aspects of his game.
Congrats Kronwall, keep it up!

As banged up as our defense is I don't think scratching him tonight isn't just giving him a rest. If he was paired with the lines that are on the ice the most I think we'd see a different picture. I could live without the plus minus stat and that stat really doesn't say a whole lot about anything.
+1 for you though Axe for finally posting something reasonably positive, still not sure if it needed it's own thread though.

On the bright side, we're getting off to leads.......
AND we are scoring goals in the first period. Bad news is the other two periods are now irrelevant to the gameplan.

I post facts that you ignore. This is gonna be my last post in this thread because it's like trying to hammer a toothpick into a steel door.
09-10
37 wins 15 losses 2.26 GAA = excellent/elite
10-11
37 wins 17 losses 2.79 GAA = excellent
11-12
35 wins 17 losses 2.12 GAA = excellent/elite
12-13
Too early to determine.
Howard = way above average. I'm done here.

Not in today's NHL. Gretzky's record will go forever untouched because of how much hockey has changed since his dominance. I like Stamkos, he can seriously score but I don't see his career being anywhere comparable to Gretzky. He's going to fall off in production like a lot of the young stars have once defenses and goalies really begin to figure him out, and the same can be said for other players like Malkin.

From NHL.com.
Yes this is called "the source" but it doesn't answer the question of how minimum games played factor into these numbers. 14 goalies in front of Howard have played 3 games or less, which pretty much puts your statistics on Howard in the null and void column. He is currently in company with these awful goaltenders going by what you are looking at on NHL.com; Miller, Lundqvist, Ward, Backstrom, and Fleury. Statistically he's ahead of Quick, Bryzgalov, Smith, and Halak respectively.
So unless you are considering Yann Danis the best goalie in the league this year, who sits at number 1 on your list along with Chad Johnson and Darcy Krumper who also are on top of the list from your source, the numbers you offer are just flat out wrong. You can't really count one or two games played by backup goalies and throw Howard that far down the rankings, not quite how stats work in this argument.
