    Interesting Quenneville Fact

Was looking around and noticed that a Joel Quenneville coached team has never defeated Detroit in a playoff series. Even more interesting is that Quenneville teams have faced the Red Wings 4 times since he started coaching, those years were '97,'98,'02,and'08. Every year we have won the cup we have beaten a Joel Quenneville team.

    Maggie picks the Pens

Well if a monkey spinning a wheel says they'll win why do we bother playing?

On Ice Officials named for the finals

wow expect at least one goal waved off on "goalie interference" from Holmstrom

    Ladies equivalent to playoff beard

So what am I supposed to do if I already have a thick beard?

    Melrose Western Grades

He looks like a Goat with that beard. Someone needs to buy him a comb for that thing. Just finished video and he gave the "worst team in the NHL" a C? You would think that being the worst at something would net you a grade worse than average.

    Datsyuk video

i saw it earlier not quite sure what it was called but i know its on youtube somewhere.
  7. Again this is because espn has stakes in both those sports, they control most knowledge about both sports. Shawn Merriman was caught using steroids and espn glanced over it, hardly ever mentioned it and now most people dont bother to remember that he tested positive for them. espn has alot of power when it comes to sports, if espn got a stake in the nhl they would show a lot more positive than negative because they would want it to succeed and give them better ratings.
  8. That is the very reason to go back to ESPN. Alot of people may not like it but this is where the majority of people get their sports information from. Espn currently has no stake in the NHL unlike the NBA, MLB, and NFL thats why it gets thrown to the end of the show and gets 5 min total airtime. If the NHL were to go back to being shown on espn they wouldnt want all their people badmouthing it. The only way for a sport to become truly big in this country is to, unfortunately, get in with espn. I mean just look what they did with nascar, that went from something(hard to call it a sport) that hardly anyone cared about and now its become much bigger than it has ever been before; all because espn backed it. Hockey needs espn unfortunately because espn would give it more national exposure than Vs. ever could.

    Oilers / Nylander Mess

Even if the Oilers win, would they really want him on their team? Its not that big a deal he'll end up having to pay some money to them for breach of contract; yes, verbally saying yes without signing does count. Verbal contract my friend, a very powerful legal tool.

    Grigorenko Interview

The only person i could see him living with would be Datsyuk, since he speaks russian and Igor's english is in his own words, "bad". There isnt any other russian born players on our team.

    Jiri Fischer UFA

No one will even remotely go near Jiri, not to be offensive but, no one wants a player to die on their bench or on their ice.

Pronger Suspension: It's not about Game 4...

Oh you wont be so lucky , they'll show that replay about 1000 times and inevitably Pronger will be shown in some shape form or fashion probably sitting in the suites somewhere.

    Holmstrom Hit from Behind

Wow Pronger starts his cheapshots again, with a huge elbow to smash Homers face into the glass and he gets nothing!?! What he did was alot worse than what Rob did, Pronger should be gone and Rob should still be out there.

    What happened to Holmstrom?

he was shown coming in after the game had started, so there was really no way he was getting put in the lineup anyhow.
