    Got Attacked at Game 3

I absolutely understand the difference, yes. However, why even make that comment - why does it matter? He should be able to speak freely. It doesn't matter if it's smart or if he thought it was going to happen or not.

    Got Attacked at Game 3

Um, yes. I only went back one page though, because I don't feel like posting all of them. Plenty of people trying to justify people beating him up based on his actions.

I don't care if it wasn't that bad. I don't care if they laugh about it some day. It's irrelevant and doesn't change the fact that he shouldn't have been beat up. Like I said, if you wanna have less sympathy for him, ok. If you wanna tell him he could have made a different choice, ok. But to say that he deserved this or that because of his actions what happened to him is somehow "okay" - I don't think so.

Wow. I'm sorry you got beat up, OP. It's uncalled for and shouldn't have happened. Whatever he did to "bring it on himself" - guess what? IT DOESN'T MATTER. Nobody deserves to get beat up (unless they were threatening the safety of the attackers or another person, which it doesn't sound like the case). Maybe you have a little less sympathy for him because of the situation and the fact that he talked s***. But it doesn't make what happened to him any less WRONG.

That's certainly an option - you might be better to try an organized plan where you are working on distance AND speed. Lots of people have had great success in increasing their running speed and endurance with a couch to 5K program (C25K): C25K Program Or, you can also use this tool to make your own running schedule, depending on your goals: Smart Coach And speaking of running - I actually met one of my running goals - to run a 5K in under 23 min. 2 weeks ago I ran a 5K and clocked 22 minutes exactly (7:20 min miles). My new goal is to get under 21 this year!

Great work Blaayze!! My husband was also 260, got down to 200, but now fluctuates throughout the year from 205 to 230 - those last 30 pounds are hard for whatever reason. When he really wants to get rid of it, he'll really watch his calorie intake and do two a day workouts - otherwise with just working out around 6x a week and eating semi-healthy he seems to be around 215. When he stops working out he goes back up, of course. I'm doing well - not really watching the weight as much as I am focusing on meeting my running goals. I would like to finish one of the 5K's I have coming up in under 22 minutes and I have a 25K (15 miler) in May and would love to finish under 2 hours and 10 minutes.

    beers!

I also had blurry memories as the event wore on. But I had a great time. Stand outs - (some already mentioned) The Chai Hefe from Waldorff. We were at their brewery 2 months ago but they didn't have this at the time, I was bummed and glad I got to try it here. The Bourbon Stout from Right Brain Dragon's Milk from New Holland I wish I could remember more - I can't say I had a bad beer besides a Dunkelweizen (or Hefe?) from somewhere. PS - When we returned to our friend's house I slipped on their kitchen floor and broke my face. 13 stitches later, Winter Beer Fest 2009 will live on permanently via the scar over my eye. Well, I'm hoping it doesn't scar. We'll see.
