I love when he was slumping it was because injuries were catching up to him yet since the all star break he's been tearing it up. The excerpt above says he was probably nursing an ankle injury so there's No doubt the injury is improving but what people were talking about here was about all his back injuries from the past. A bum ankle makes perfect sense to why he was skating sluggish. Z is an absolute beast and I'm so thrilled to see him playing so great. Here's to him playing even better in the playoffs.

Don't worry about St Louis as we most likely won't be catching them, don't worry about Nashville either. Just focus on this one single game Wings, and bring home a win and stop this bizarro world we have all been living in lately.

Franzen and a 1st for Nash isn't too much.....it's not enough. But either way he's not coming here and may be staying in Columbus til the offseason. As for a realistic trade getting Pominville would be insane but not likely Roy or Gaustad wouldn't be the sexiest trade but would help us with a subtle need: another center who can win the important faceoffs. Say what you will bit Draper was always an extremely talented center taking faceoffs and has been a void since he retired.

You know they should make that a policy after every huge clean hit....but that'd make too much sense.I know he didn't, but I wish Chara would've gotten a 2, 5 and 10 minute misconduct for instigating after a clean, hard hit.

Rick Nash is my favorite player outside of the Red Wings. He is under some serious fire in Columbus for being a bad captain. If he were to come here, id about freak out in excitement. More than when we got Hossa, more than when we got Hull... this guy is offensively focused, a game breaker, and in my opinion, a star who needs a change of scenery.

We need to make a move to get us on par with San Jose. Albeit we were extremely close to making history last playoffs in coming back from a 0-3 deficit I think then and now that our main problem is team defense plain and simple. Our team d was fantastic in 08 when we won the Cup. How to fix that? I'm not really sure. Another one of our struggles is timely scoring as LeftWinger and others point out, Franzen and others need to step up Ans score the big goal. But if this team continues to do this we need to make a trade. I'd listen to offers for Franzen but I highly doubt anyone will want that contract.

not surprising AT ALL to see Filatov jump ship and go to Russia. One of the many Euros who don't have the work ethic for the NHL game.

I really hope that reseeding happens then. More exciting matchups.They haven't yet decided how the third round will go. If they just reseed, then yes the wings could play the sharks for the cup
