What pisses me off about people saying the Red Wings are ******* because they don't fight a lot is that there not the only team that didn't fight a lot during the regular season, yet the Wings always get singled out. While the Wings only had 13 fights during the regular season and 19 in total(Got facts off DYG.com), the Islanders only had 18 fights during the regular season and 20 in total, the canadiens only had 19 during the regular season and 22 in total, the Wild only had 18 during the regular season and 26 in total, and the Avalanche only had 24 during the regular season and 29 in total. Yet no one talks about the Islanders, Canadiens, Wild, or Avalanche not fighting a lot. Maybe current players won't want to wear visors because their not used to the visor but what if the NHL used the same method they used in making helmets mandatory? They could use the grandfather clause. New players coming into the NHL would have visors mandatory since their already use to wearing a visor or some sort of protective facial shield in the NCAA or junior leagues and current players in the NHL could have a choice of the visor. Maybe a visor wouldn't of prevented Holmstrom's injury but the type of injuries that players such as Yzerman, Draper, Berard, Heward, etc got from pucks, sticks, or skates to the upper portion of their face could be prevented in the future if a visor is worn.

Anyone see the movie The Lookout and hear Ken Kal doing play-by-play for a Wings and Jackets game in the movie. It's weird that the director choose a Wings game for the main character to listen to while he's at work since the movie is set in Kanas City. You could tell it was recent since you hear Ken talk about Robert Lang and mentions Manny Malhotra. If you're going to see the movie look-out for that scene and watch carefully because you see other Red Wings stuff throughout the movie.

Lilja should of attempted to fight back against Gauthier. What does Lilja think is going to happen if you hit a guy from benind. All Lilja does is turtle. He's 6' 3" 228 and doesn't even attempt to drop he's gloves. At least Franzen showed some heart and dropped the gloves when he fought against Odonnell even though Odonnel hit him with one punch and it was over. If Lilja attempted to fight back or even play hockey like a 6' 3" 220 pound defenseman plays I might have some respect for him. And Lilja wonders why he's not a regular in the line-up.

Since were on the topic of the Wings and Avalanche rivalry, I thought I'd share with you the NHL Networks top 10 moments of the rivalry.
