Yeah im reluctant to give up any of our top forward prospects, especially for a D. Its looking like in the future we'll have one of those stable D's that has above average guys top to bottom, which im okay with.
Its going to be more difficult to replace dats and Z in the coming years then it is Kronwall and...... Quincey?
To me, tatar is untouchable but I may be biased. Ive been following him since draft day so I have a definite soft spot for him since he was drafted the same year i was eligble
As previously mentioned, Jurco has untapped potential albeit probably 50 points but is as close to another dats as we'll ever have when it comes to stick handling.
I had initially thought nyquist was gonna be a big bust this season, but hes looked phenomenal.... could easily be our next Z IMO.
I'd hate to lose any of these guys for anyone not named Crosby or Mcdavid. Maybe Eichel.
The good thing is, the Isles have a very cheap owner so if the Wings are serious about getting a top defender Boychuk would be a nice nice addition. Throw 7 x 6 at him and I highly doubt Wang matches it's time for this team to flex their financial muscle again.
Sorry can't edit my post for some reason but I would also say that they could only use the challenge on goals the whole reviewin the play for a penalty just seems unnessary to me
To me, reviewing penalties can drastically change the outcome of a game. See; Oct 11,2014.
I also remember another game, not even sure if it was the wings; (pretty sure it was) but crosby took a high stick from one of his own teammates and was awarded a 4 minute powerplay for high sticking. It could also be used to review dives and see if there was actual contact with the stick between legs for trips and stuff. The game is played faster then any other sport, theres nothing wrong with slowing it down for a second to correct a mistake.
