#2659139 3/12 GDT : New York Rangers at Red Wings, 2:00 EST

Posted by WingsallTheway on 12 March 2016 - 11:49 PM

 I know how to avoid spoilers.  I didn't even look at my feed.  It was seriously right under the "UPDATE YOUR STATUS" field.  "RED WINGS BEAT RANGERS.  Tell your followers how you feel."  Doop-de-doop-de-doo.

Here's how I feel FaceBook:  Don't tell me what you think I might want to know. You don't know me!  /end rant.

Very entertaining game, worth a watch. Some of the best hockey Ive seen from the forwards all season

#2658826 Wings sign Maine Defenseman Dan Renouf

Posted by WingsallTheway on 12 March 2016 - 02:54 AM

Are we sure this is not a Smith thread?

Any thread about signing a 6th/7th defenceman will turn into a Smith thread. Proves he needs to be replaced lol

Ugh I can't stand Ericsson

#2651512 Byfuglien resigns with Jets - 5 years/$38 million

Posted by WingsallTheway on 08 February 2016 - 06:13 PM

Obviously just to increase his trade value so we can swap him for Kindl and a 2034 6th round draft pick

#2648278 Pav hits 1000

Posted by WingsallTheway on 16 January 2016 - 03:09 PM

I hope Pav decides to sign a 1 year when his contract his up.

Guy is a treat to watch and I know 10-20 years from now I'll still consider him my favorite player of all time. Such a unique player and I really wish I didn't take the 2006-2011 seasons for granted. Best player in the NHL for a period of time.

Won't get claimed and people will still try to include him in a package for Malkin

#2644962 12/29 GDT : Detroit Red Wings at Winnipeg Jets, 8:00 EST

Losing is one thing, but man this team is so damn boring to watch on top of it. Besides Larkin and occasionally Tatar and Nyquist, there's very little to get excited about anymore. Z and Pav are shells of their former selves now.

The Wings aren't retooling on the fly like Holland claims. They are just treading along in mediocrity seven years in a row.

I've rarely missed a wings game in 10 years, and I've had little to no interest in the past 15 games or so. I just don't get excited for games this year and even when I watch I find myself not wanting to pay attention. Larkin is the only player who seems to play hard and does anything remotely exciting.

I'm over Blashill as well. How long are we going to keep Dats with Helm and Richards??? An infant could realize we need to mix up the lines but that seems to fly over his head.

#2641999 First time visit - parking

Posted by WingsallTheway on 10 December 2015 - 10:54 AM

Yeah the Joe is the only arena I've been to where they actually allowed me to go right up to the glass. Was 14 at the time and will never forget how blown away I was when Legwand was right in front of me for the Preds  . I was surprised how big the NHL players were.

Honestly, I can't say enough good things about that arena. I've been to 4 now and nothing is even remotely the same. All seats are top notch thanks to the 1 large bowl. The rafters alone are legendary.

Also, if you've been to Baltimore, I'd say you have nothing to worry about in Detroit haha

I also had my first game at the Joe, travelling from Sudbury (few hours north of Toronto)about 8 years ago.

Its for sure a different atmosphere compared to say, Toronto, but I can comfortably say you have nothing to worry about when it comes to danger. Plan where your going before hand and make sure to go early. Id even try to be there for 5 oclock just to make sure you dont miss ANYTHING. If thats too early just go eat at a restaurant close to the arena or something. Soak up the experience, I found Detroit a very unique city. (Maybe because it was the first time and only time I had  seen an American city) The Joe is a beautiful arena on the outside (those steps :scared: ) and the actual ice area is beautiful as well.

I don't remember where we parked but from what I remember it wasnt bad at all. We walked about 5 minutes to the arena.

#2641517 Goalie Battle

I feel like Mrazek has slowed down as of late but I'm still more confident in getting a win when hes in net. He seems to do enough in order to win. Jimmy is almost the opposite, does just enough to lose....no matter how well he plays

Dats playing with Pulk and Helm. Another game of Datsyuk being forced into irrelevance

#2640407 12/1 GDT : Buffalo Sabres at Red Wings, 7:30 EST

Why must we always give Datsyuk sub-par linemates

Atleast give him 1 of abby, nyquist, larkin, tatar. You know, top 6 forwards.

#2640081 Artemi Panarin

Posted by WingsallTheway on 29 November 2015 - 03:01 PM

Wings should snag this kid up when Chicago can't pay him, the second coming of patty Kane for sure.
Btw Kane has 28 points in 18 games. Pretty good compared to last year when we had like 3 ppg players.

must...increase....NET SIZE

#2639527 Ferraro on waivers

Posted by WingsallTheway on 26 November 2015 - 10:50 AM

Would you be willing to trade a new car for 5 rusted out pieces of crap that don't run?

A lot of crap is still crap.  Adding more crap to it doesn't make it valuable.

lol exactly. Don't understand how so many people seem to think you can trade a whole ton of crap for something good.

If Ferarro = 2

  Pulkinnen = 6

  Kindl       = 4

  3rd pick = 3

And Toews = 15

Well that's just fair for everyone!

Holland isn't completely stupid. If someone would have offered him a pick for Ferarro he wouldve taken it. He probably got claimed solely on the fact that he was a Red Wings 2nd round pick

#2638923 Ferraro on waivers

You have a reading and comprehension issue. Probably too fixated on searching for trolls. I was pointing out that Holland shouldnt be giving away our prospects for free. Trade them for ANYTHING. A 32nd overall pick is close to a 1st round draft choice. We just gave up an NHL calibur player for no reason. That's bad management. We could have placed 2 other players on waivers that wouldnt have been claimed (Andersson and Miller), and we could have received future considerations in a trade for Ferraro. Instead, Holland did NOTHING and let him go to Boston for free. Stupid.

Just because he was drafted high doesn't make him an NHL caliber player. If his last name wasn't Ferarro and he was still eligible, he'd be in the minors for a long time.

Noone wouldve traded for Ferarro, but what does Boston have to lose by taking him for free when they need to replace Chris Kelly

Players get lost on waivers all the time, its a numbers game. Some players fit where others don't. See your boy, Miller. TB was horrible when we picked him up.
