Did you pay attention when Franzen said retirement was something he wasn't considering?
So because his symptoms are back and he's being placed on IR as a precaution, he's absolutely donzo? Please, he will sit until his symptoms are gone again, and then he will play. I remember when Crosby was going through this same thing.
People are acting like he got rocked with concussion #1000 or something lol that's not the case
I didn't say he was for sure done but it doesn't look good. Franzen has been very stubborn throughout this whole concussion ordeal. The thing with these head injuries is its totally on the person who's having them to call the shots, theres no way of a doctor telling if he can or can't play because theres only "symptoms"
If he just sat out (8 months?) and comes back for 2 games and doesn't even get hit and hes facing symptoms again, what's going to happen when he actually gets hit in the fastest game in the world?
Pronger's and Savard's symptoms never went away and it doesn't seem like Mule's will either. These things just tend to get worse...
Why is this it for him? He didn't sustain another concussion. I assume he'll be lacing them up as soon as his concussion symptoms are gone again. That could be sooner, rather than later. He's on regular IR.
Have you been paying attention to concussions for the past 10 years?
He missed 1/3 of last season from symptoms (from a tap to the chin) and complained of symptoms all off season
Came back for 2 games (with seemingly minimal contact) and hes out again. It does NOT look good for mule.
Ugh, I don't know why I have such an aversion to guys sliding across the ice on their knees. I mean, I realize it's an important game, and you just scored a hat trick, and that tons of guys have done way worse and all. But I still get this overwhelming urge to throw a battery at his head when I see him do it.
Really haha I think its one of the best cellys out there. Its emotion and character. Two things our team has been lacking for years
Only other guy who gives a hoot when he scores is Tatar
Zetterberg and Nyquist are the best in the league at holding the stick then diving to get a hooking/holding penalty. fact.
Multiple teams have complained about us cheating on faceoffs and we've even had players admit it. (Draper, i believe?)
We interfere with players on the rush more then anyone in the league. I've noticed recently that other teams are starting to do it more and more as well. (side note, ive also noticed other teams using the same entry into the zone on the PP as us; the one where we drop it to Dats)
Now I wouldn't say were flat out CHEATING, were just milking the rules to our advantage as much as possible. Its a double edged sword as we saw in the first 5 games with all the penalties.
Lets not be biased here, if you don't see these things happening all game your watching with a blind eye. We have experienced vets on our team and these skills have been passed down. Any sport I've ever played, I've bent the rules as much as possible to gain an advantage. Its a skill.
