The National Hockey League rescinded the match penalty assessed to St. Louis Blues forwardDavid Backes in the game Friday night against the Detroit Red Wings.Backes received a match penalty for an illegal hit to the head of Detroit's Kent Huskins at 9:38 of the third period. Replays appeared to indicate that no contact to Huskins' head was made.
Detroit's Pavel Datsyuk scored the game-winning goal on the ensuing five-minute power play in an eventual 5-3 victory.
No surprise there.

At first it looked like a clean hit to me but after the replay it looked like his shoulder hit Landeskog in the face.

Thanks a lot, Brad for the years you played for the Wings. Your effort and desire were never questioned. It's good that you'll get to spend more time with your family. Children only grow up once and you would forever regret not being there to watch it.

No more freaking out when the opponent has a 2 0n 1 only to realize that Nick was the sole D-man back. I would immediately relax knowing they didn't stand a chance of scoring.

They're trying to show how good Nashville is. They beat the "powerhouse" from Detroit.Do they really have to bring up Detroit all the time? Really?

I made a small correction. Hope you don't mind, 55fan.You might want to open a second window and have them side by side so you can follow the directions.
1) Find where it says your name at the top just to the right of the headline news. You'll see an arrow pointing down in the same box as your name.
2) Click on the arrow. This will open a box.
3) Click on "my settings" within that box.
4) Look down to where it says "your options". It should be on "settings" as the default.
5) Click "Profile".
6) Click "change profile information", which is in the left column.
7) Go down to "profile information", which is on the right side.
8) Under that is "member title".
9) Type "MidMichSteve is the smartest, coolest, best looking guy at LGW."
10) Click "save changes".
