Sedin is still 1/2 of a duo, so I don't understand if he wins it. Ovechkin missed too many games. Malkin was injured so that speaks for Crosby winning it. Miller was spectacular too, but a goalie won't win it.
That's moronic. Malkin doesn't even play with Crosby usually and yet you dismiss Sedin despite his brother being injured for a large chunk of the season. I'm not saying Crosby wouldn't deserve it but come on, you reasoning suck balls.
Why would alcohol have to be involved? The guy was obviously f***ed up in the head enough to do it, drunk or not, so I don't think alcohol would be a major factor here. The real concern here is that people like this actually exist and most of the time no one can tell they're crazy until they do something so horrible. :/

Since it was obviously a crime of passion judging from the poor cover-up he attempted and the excessive violence, I'd say it's very likely alcohol (or any other drug) was involved. It usually is.
