Holland would be an ******* to sign Doan to some of the contract #'s that are rumored.
Well, since he's apparently not willing to spend any more money, and we still have $16 million, we might as well just offer Doan $16 million for one year.

#2320095 Flyers sign Weber to offer sheet: 14y/$110m ($56m 1st 4yrs)

Most of them when you get a guy like Weber as a RFA most teams would "Go For Broke" to try and get them. I would have like to have seen Kenny send an offer sheet. An offer sheet was the only chance we had of getting Weber. I'm sure I don't know a whole lot about how the whole front office thing works but I'd be willing to bet there was no chance in hell that Poile was trading Weber to us. I'm hoping Kenny would be smart enough to realize that as well. I understand he doesn't like the whole idea of signing other team's RFA's but I feel like if there was ever a time to go for broke and do it, this was it.

Larionov's daughters are a little less ****-tastic in appearance.
I'd take Larionov's daughters over the Gretz girl any day of the week.

You dream too small.
With just a few trades:
Weber - Suter
Chara - Yandle
Karlsson - Byfuglien .... damn straight!
Sutter can S my D
Doan won't come here. If he leaves Pheonix, it will be for a run at the cup. I'd say that's why he's waiting. To see who's the most appealing when the dust settles, as it has today.
Wings are too far off from a cup run to attract Doan.
I think Holland would give too good a pitch. I don't think Doan could say no to Holland... Just like Suter can't say no to Parise... or Parise's wife... or Parise's parents

I'm not surprised that Malts would hit his target. He was a 50 goal scorer in juniors after all...***this just in***
Former Red Wing Kirk Maltby has just shot down a corporate jet over Lake Michigan registered out of the greater Pittsburg area with a Russian military-spec shoulder fired rocket launcher. Ecklund reports that he's not sure what surprises him more; the incident or the fact that Maltby actually hit his target.

As if this is the only time he's had to consider this? It ain't like he's suddenly been put on the f***in spot to decide the rest of his future. Pick a team ****** and make it snappy!I don't blame the guy at all. In fact, I respect him for taking his time and heading home to speak to his family about the matter. It's a huge decision that none of us here truly understand. Don't get me wrong, I'm as anxious to know as anyone, but unless this drags on for over a week, I don't think the guy is doing anything wrong.
The only thing wrong here in my book is people giving these guys s*** for taking their time to decide where they want to call home for the rest of their careers in the NHL, as if that's such an insignificant decision.
