Dan Cleary scored the game-tying goal with 1:20 remaining in regulation and Brett Lebda scored the game-winner in OT as the Red Wings roared back to defeat the Wild 3-2 in St. Paul.

The victory stretched the Red Wings' (41-10-4) current unbeaten streak to eight games.

Detroit, thoroughly outplayed by the Wild over the first two periods, got an outstanding performance in goal from Dominik Hasek, including several highlight-reel stops on Marion Gaborik early in the second period as the Red Wings tried to stay within striking distance at a 2-1 deficit.

The Red Wings opened the scoring in the game with Johan Franzen capitalizing midway through the first period when he beat Niklas Backstrom off a cross-ice feed from Tomas Kopecky.

The lead wouldn't last, however, as Brian Rolston scored his 20th of the season at 11:10 on a Minnesota power play. Rolston skated out from the corner and beat Hasek along the ice as the netminder sprawled to make the save.

Minnesota grabbed the lead during a flurry of opportunities to start off the second period. After Hasek thwarted a series of odd-man rushes at the start of the period, Pavol Demitra, on another rush, was able to rocket a shot from the left faceoff circle past Hasek and inside the far post for a 2-1 Wild lead.

The lead held deep into the late stages of the third period until Cleary deflected the puck in off of Backstrom's pad from a bad angle to tie the game at 2-2 with 80 seconds left in regulation.

Lebda ended the game 1:37 into overtime on a goal similar to Franzen's. Dan Cleary kicked off the play and got the puck to Henrik Zetterberg, who curled in the corner and found Lebda pinching in from the point on the far side. A perfect feed and a perfect shot after sent the Red Wings to its eighth-straight victory.

Hasek was outstanding in goal and turned aside 24 shots. Backstrom also had a strong game -- he stopped 15 shots in the third period as Minnesota was out-shot 16-3 -- and turned aside 35 of 38.
