That is cool that they are going to play this game, but with a 1 pm start on New Year's Day, that means the traditional New Year's Eve game will not be played. This game should be scheduled AFTER the college bowl games and it can get even a bigger draw. NHL can not compete with college football for TV ratings and going against the greatest day of college football of the year is a mistake. Delay it a week or so and get more sports fans to watch, thus increasing NHL product awareness. Just another dumb move by Betman. He needs to GO AWAY so we can get someone in there that really oversees what is best for the league.
