The cheapshots to Franzen really pissed me off. I realize it's hockey and I'm all for being physical, but constantly hitting a guy in the head while you very well know he's just come back from having a head injury!? They were purposely trying to re-injure Franz and that is just disgusting and disgraceful!

If I had the $, I would buy them in a heartbeart! Unfortunately, I'm still a poor college student . I can't even fathom spending that kind of money right now (sigh...). I hope someone buys them though, I sat in that section during a reg season game and they were wonderful seats.

I agree with this 100%. There's just something about the Joe, all of it's flaws and oldness, that makes it feel like old time hockey. I hate seeing other arenas on tv and their concourses look like the inside of a mall, it's ridiculous. A new arena may be inevitable, but I hope we don't see one anytime soon. While the first part of your statement may be true, I would hate it if the wings moved to the burbs! I love going downtown to see tigers and wings games because the atmostphere is SO much better than driving 10 minutes from my house to go to the Palace. Plus, the people buying tickets now are usually from the suburbs so I don't see how moving them to the burbs would help with sellouts.

Ughhh that was a pathetic showing by the wings! Our 1st line looked sloooow, Flip was invisible, Cheli was just BAD, and Cleary is clearly not himself yet. Sloppy passes, bad shots, and no effort = failure There were some nice hits by Drake and Kronner though!

He was BAD today. I'm wondering if he will be coming back next season. I love Cheli, but I dono if he can keep up anymore.
