I swear the few bad shifts the Wings have had in this game have all come with Quincey and Smith out there.

22! The fourth line has been relentless tonight. Great forechecking and pressure every shift. The Red Wings look desperate and excellent in the process. Puck possession and hard skating the entire game.

Wings look terrific for the third straight game. Nyquist has been the best forward tonight. Gotta keep this effort and intensity for the third.

Quincey and Smith are brutal together. The other pairings are fine, but that one needs to be ended.

Nyquist is looking more comfortable each game. Starting to create a lot of scoring chances with his speed and creativity.

That was typical Quincey. Guess he deserves power play time with his great offensive output this season.

Yes to Bert, no thanks on Samuelsson. If one is healthy enough to play, then I think Eaves/Tootoo will rotate in. I have a bad feeling if both were back though that would mean Nyquist gets scratched. I would like to see Bertuzzi with Franzen and Filppula. Bert can retrieve and hang on to the puck far better than Cleary.

This is it. Practically Game 7 the rest of the way out now. Hopefully the 60 minute effort from Vancouver continues with some more goals this time around. Let's Go Red Wings!

This thread is pathetic. Wishing injuries on players on a team you supposedly root for? It's a hockey game, guys. These athletes to us are human beings with families. Shame about Miller. Always plays hard and is a very valuable forward on the PK.

They have to let Filppula (and obviously Cleary) walk and use that money to sign a goal-scoring winger. What use are all of these playmakers with no one to finish? I can't even remember the last time they scored more than two goals in a game.

That one hurts. They badly outplayed Vancouver and just couldn't find a way to score again. Effort was exceptional, obviously skill is lacking. Gotta sweep these three home games.

Lack of effort isn't the issue. Just don't have the skill to win games they deserve. Maybe the skills competition will go the Wings way tonight.

Great effort. They played as hard as they could for 60 minutes. Let's get that extra point.

Good lord Filppula. What the hell was that? Wings have energy and some pressure right now. Hopefully they can get one in.

DeKeyser is terrific. Such a smooth skater and very sound positioning on defense.

Both look good IMO. Playing a ton of minutes. Pav needs to shoot the puck though.

The Sedin's and Burrows on a line is just disgusting. Talk about three gutless divers.

How did the Canucks not get a penalty for that mugging of Abby in front of the net? At least he popped Ballard and defended himself.

For sure. To his credit, Axe was definitely correct about Emmerton. Very improved on the PK and chips in offensively too. Plus Emmerton always hustles out there.
