It was short side and the only place Johnson could beat Mrazek with a shot. I would have to see it again, but I'm pretty sure the pass was taken away. I'm not faulting Mrazek for the loss, but I do think that's one he probably needs to stop at that juncture.

Five minutes away from a 3-1 series lead and just a complete collapse. The Wings are such a fragile group when things start going against them. They tried to sit on a lead and got rattled once Tampa Bay tied it and never recovered. What a disappointing loss. Now you gotta go to Tampa and win at least once, where otherwise the Wings would have been in full control of the series. This is what happens when you keep forcing a third pairing d-man into top minutes for years. Ericsson lost this game for the Wings tonight.

Ericsson on the top pairing was bound to hurt the Wings at some point in the series and it did in the third. Wings need to regroup and get back to what they were doing to get ahead. They looked rattled once it got tied up.

Weiss? Oh, never mind. I would try Jurco though and move Gus down with Sheahan. That third line is drawing the easy matchups, which may help Nyquist out.

I was at the game too and it was nuts. One of my favorite playoff games that I have attended. I don't know how JLA came across on TV, but it was very loud in there tonight.

I would split up Pav and Z at home. There's just nothing going offensively. The 4th line plays hard, but the 3rd line is a black hole. Very fortunate to have even gotten a split in Tampa. The Wings have to be much better going forward or this will be a quick series.

I don't know any other way to say this, but the Wings are the worst playoff team in the field. Overmatched in every area right now.

Gotta get the power play going considering even strength scoring doesn't appear promising.

The Wings do nothing offensively. They are too small and completely lack any creativity to create scoring chances and sustain pressure.

I should be happier, though I'm mostly just relieved right now. Don't have the slightest clue why the Wings won that game, but it just matters that they did. Mrazek, Pav, Glendening and DeKeyser were terrific. The rest of the crew could probably afford to show up on Saturday. Stole a game in Tampa. They have a ton to improve on going forward, but the best news is they get to do it with a big win already in-hand.

Down a goal penalty there. No defending that call at all.

Keep playing like this and it's going to be a quick series regardless of tonight's outcome.

Maybe if the Wings started skating, they wouldn't be as likely to commit penalties. Chasing the puck all night and you are bound to get calls.
