Bertuzzi and Cleary on the powerplay can't happen. Bertuzzi is good once every two weeks and Cleary is just a disaster, as much as I like him. Try Eaves instead -- can it possibly go worse? -

Kronwall has not been good in his own zone this season. He plays too many minutes to be that sloppy defensively. -

Agreed. I think the Red Wings were going to win though either way honestly. They had all the jump and momentum in the third. Plus, the Blues had no answer for Zetterberg at all. -
Why would they get rid of Ericsson? He has been the team's best d-man this season. I know he has flaws, but I wish the Ericsson is horrible stigma would go away. He has developed into a reliable player for the Red Wings. I don't think he's a top pairing d-man ideally, but he has done nothing to warrant angst like Quincey.

Emmerton has been basically what I expected. A marginal skill player in a bottom-six role that doesn't provide much of anything. He's a decent skater and can be used on the PK, but beyond that he's filler until Helm is healthy. I would prefer a 4th line center that hits, forechecks and is physical instead. Abdelkader does all of those things more effectively at wing.

I know it isn't the easiest thing to accomplish, but Kronwall has to improve at getting pucks through to the net. He has shot a lot into traffic this season. Lidstrom was the best at it, but I kinda expected Kronwall to be stronger at that than he has shown so far.

That period was ugly. The Blues won every puck battle and all the Red Wings could muster were their specialty perimeter shots. The Wings look like they have played three nights in a row besides Z. -

I can't believe Kindl, Bertuzzi and Cleary are seriously all on a powerplay unit together. That about sums up the mediocrity level we've seen. -
