I don't have any stats to back this up, but I feel like Z is generally matched up against the other team's top line if possible. If they play more, then he likely will too. Seems like this happens in the playoffs quite a bit.

Love the chemistry between Datsyuk/Filppula and Zetterberg/Brunner. You watch Pavel every night and still come away stunned with the things he does with the puck.

They call hooking 100 feet away from the play, but don't see a high stick.

All of that because Cleary couldn't chip the puck out originally and then failed to get it deep at center the second time.

If the goal of the lockout was to make hockey unwatchable, I would say they did a fine job. All of these penalties every single game is ruining the entertainment value even more. Over half of each period is just spent on special teams.

Ugh, man I hate the Blackhawks. Outcome was largely decided going 0-6 on the PP against a tired team. The Red Wings played well in the third, but to score only one goal is disappointing with that many opportunities. The defense is improving each game at least. That's certainly a positive with no Nick and a ton of injuries. It all comes down to whether the offense can get going now, especially on the powerplay. Has anyone from the third or fourth lines scored yet? They provide solid energy, but chipping in with some goals would be a huge boost to Datsyuk and Zetterberg.

Got the point, which is nice after the first two periods. Came on strong in the third. Z is going to end this in OT.

Franzen has reached a new level of useless. A team that already lacks goal-scorers and the one they do have is checked out. As many questions as there were about the defense, the top-six is aging and slow.

Pittsburgh is allowed to do that...

I hate having to watch Hossa and Franzen together on the same ice surface.
