The defense is the same for both goalies. Besides, three of Mrazek's goals against had absolutely nothing to do with the defense. It was just poor goaltending.

The fact you didn't mention anything about Mrazek in this game pretty much says it all.

Poor refs or not, the Wings have been shorthanded ten times in a game and a half now. That's just lack of discipline in many cases. Halak seems pretty beatable himself if the Wings stay out of the box and don't keep gift-wrapping the Islanders goals.

Your PK is often as good as your goaltender and neither is helping the cause. I would have taken any save from Mrazek today -- let alone an "important" one. They all are when everything is going in.

Started on time. All four lines played well at even strength. Much more energy and attention to detail than they have shown all month. Tampa Bay rarely got anything sustained offensively and the PK was exceptional. Oh, and Abby is officially a sniper.

The Wings have like nine shootout losses too. Even four more wins and they are well within the playoffs and fighting for home ice.
