The only thing Sammy really has on Williams right now is producing in the playoffs. I think Williams is better at just about everything else besides giving facewashes. I can't believe I just defended Jason Williams.

I hated the Williams signing, but he has been one of the few Red Wings that has really impressed me so far this season. I thought Williams had his best game against LA. He seems to be pretty comfortable back in the system and he has meshed quite well with Fil and Leino.

Poor vision. Richard Bernstein is getting all the revenue from commercials now and Dr. Rahmani is no more.

I haven't been this pumped for a game in a very long time. This has been the slowest week ever.

The defense and top two lines better show up tonight because the third and fourth lines aren't giving us anything offensively. The salary cap has finally deprived the Red Wings of their depth. Hopefully the guys actually show up tonight and play with a little passion. Let's Go Red Wings! :octo:

Why bother? They didn't care to start the game so why would they suddenly care down 6-2? I mean they should, but that effort tonight was a disgrace.

Why are these morons still calling penalties on the Wings down by 4? That frickin would never happen the other way around.

The Red Wings just look sloppy and slow through five games. Their passes look really off and those puck possession clinics they usually put on are nowhere to be found. I hate seeing teams outwork the Wings. The Sabres are skating circles around them.

That's saying something too with Lebda on the same team.

This is brutal. Losing is one thing, but not even showing up is another. The defense looks completely lost including Lidstrom. Buffalo is outworking, outskating and dominating the Red Wings in every facet of the game. We have to fix the defense and quickly.

You keep jumping around on subjects. First, you stated that Bertuzzi is at "Selke calibre" at even strength compared to Cleary and Franzen. To me, that suggests that you feel Bertuzzi is better defensively than Cleary and Mule? You have yet to address how this is possibly true as Cleary and Mule both kill penalties on a team that is very deep with strong defensive forwards. Bertuzzi isn't terrible defensively, but I think he has average defensive awareness at best. For his career, Bertuzzi is minus 40. Minus 40 and he played with Naslund and Morrison for a time on what was the most dominant line in the league. That doesn't scream better than Cleary and Franzen at even strength to me. The last sentence on Bertuzzi being better than Mule is a completely different topic. Are we talking Todd Bertuzzi of 2002?

Wonderful example. That explains why Cleary and Franzen (at times) kill penalties and Bertuzzi never will.

No one is claiming that here. Don't you find it somewhat strange though that an overwhelming number of people in this thread have the same feelings about OSU fans? Reasonable Buckeye fans are the exception -- the fan base as a whole is obnoxious.

Finally ... the Euro Twins back together. Hopefully they tear it up so much that Babcock has no choice but to keep playing them on a line. I actually really like these lines for tonight's game. We need some production from that second line though. Let's Go Red Wings! :octo:

I didn't go any further because it is hard to judge certain players who we haven't got to see much of yet this season. Bertuzzi, Williams, Eaves, Abdelkader, Ericsson, etc. could all very easily be ranked pretty highly. I'll give Rafalski and Filppula the benefit of the doubt, but those two would be near the bottom in terms of value for me right now.

Number 5 and that is all. It needs to be special.

Stuart at 24? If cap hit is taken into account, Stuart should be higher than Rafalski.
