Players? Not really, although I don't care much for Kane. Fans? Absolutely. Blackhawks fans are the worst.
-
Again, what do the Red Wings or even we as fans have to do with the auto industry? I guess they have to find something - the Red Wings don't provide much material.
-
I doubt it. He's playing for a contract this season too.

Isn't Josh Lewin the Rangers PbP guy still?
-
He has an appointment with Dr. Rahmani. Pavel is going to threaten to cut the commercials if he doesn't see the net soon.
-
I just want Hudler back. I have pretty much accepted Hossa is going to leave.
-
IIRC, Ken Daniels mentioned earlier this season that Ericsson liked #52 and was going to continue wearing it even when he became a permanent member of the Red Wings.
-
Nick Lidstrom by far. Ozzie, Z, and Mule deserve consideration as well.

Which of These Players Will be the Next to Score a Goal?
GoWings1905 replied to GMRwings1983's topic in General
I think both Datsyuk and Hossa will score tonight. At this point, I am basing that solely off hope. -
Really? It seems to me like Datsyuk hasn't made Hossa better. Then again it's probably all Hossa's fault right?
-
PS: Pavel Datsyuk isn't a Hart finalist because of backchecking and throwing hits.

What would an enforcer have done yesterday? The game was over.

Should the Red Wings eliminate Anaheim, I am suprised how many people are predicting a short series against Chicago. The Blackhawks are far deeper at forward than the Ducks; anyone that suggest otherwise needs to pay closer attention. The Blackhawks roll four lines very similar to the Red Wings. In fact, I would say the Hawks depth at forward is the closest we will see to matching the Red Wings. Chicago is talented, quick, and physical. They beat Vancouver in low scoring, defensive games and up-tempo, high scoring games. That being said, the Red Wings have a favorable edge on defense and in goal. Khabibulin doesn't scare me and the Red Wings have proven they can score goals on quality goaltenders. It would probably be in Chicago's best interest to turn the series into a shoot-out because the Red Wings are not the Canucks. I would predict the Red Wings to win the series, but I don't get the feeling it will be short.

The misconception that Datsyuk and Zetterberg are equal

Z can produce just fine without Pavel. Have you been watching the playoffs? -
The misconception that Datsyuk and Zetterberg are equal

I agree for the most part, but Z has badly outproduced Pavel in the playoffs. Blame it on Hossa, blame it on bad breaks, but Pavel isn't getting the job done right now. -
Cleary works hard every shift, kills penalties and can play in just about any role Babcock puts him in. He also has eight points in nine playoff games. You could find a flaw in every player, but if it is something as trivial as Cleary falling down, then I suppose Cleary is doing fine. It isn't hurting the team and it sure as hell isn't affecting Cleary's effort or production. What's next? Z shoots into the empty net too much?
-
The Ducks are "loosing" because the Red Wings are better. They'll sleep better at night when they accept that fact.
-
The Red Wings are going to lose forwards in free agency this summer whether it be Hossa, Hudler, Samuelsson or some combination of the three. Helm is already far better than Kopecky, but I do agree with the sentiment that Maltby and Draper will play out their contracts for loyalty purposes. I don't see any way Helm isn't on the team next season.

Remind me again why the Red Wings would want 1/3 of their top line off the ice for five minutes.

According to some members, Cleary is Maltby 2.0.
