I'd rather the Pistons get in the lottery than swept by Cleveland or Boston in the first round. Of course, this year's draft is one of the weakest in history. I hope Joe D. can swing a deal for Chris Bosh this summer and sign him to a contract extension. We need to keep Bynum as well off the bench to backup Stuckey at point guard. I don't really like Curry, but he deserves another chance because most of the mess this season revolved around the AI mistake. The one player I feel the absolute worst for is McDyess. He could have went to Boston or Cleveland and had a shot at a championship (which he deserves), but he came back to the Pistons. He has more loyalty/heart than every other member of the team combined. You can always count on one Piston to come out with effort and actually look like he cares. If Rasheed (and I like 'Sheed) had half the desire 'Dyess has, the Pistons would have won more than one championship. Come on Pistons, spare us the beatdown in the playoffs!

I wouldn't write off Hossa yet. Franzen has been hot lately, but there were times earlier this season where Hossa was carrying the team offensively as well. I don't want to lose either one, but if I have to choose I'm still taking Hossa over Mule.

Good point. Maybe that would help Guillen at the plate some without having the wear on his body of playing the field everyday. We need Guillen's bat to produce more since the bottom third of the order isn't on the team for offense.

That was a special night. Mac dragging Lemieux right in front of Draper on the bench and the clown Patrick Roy all bloodied up from Vernon. I remember reading somewhere that many players on the Red Wings that season pointed to this game as being the turning point in winning a championship. Good memories. That was the best rivalry I have ever seen in sports.

IMO, Hudler is the most underrated player on the Red Wings right now. Franzen is terrific, but last playoff run garnered him plenty of attention and rightfully so.

I love the top two lines, but that third line is brutal. Helm will be a major boost to the roster.

Rooting for Chicago and Nashville on two straight nights is just a terrible thing to do. If the Predators can beat the Sharks in regulation tomorrow, I like the Red Wings chances of winning the West. Six home games left for the Red Wings and the Sharks still have to go to Calgary and Edmonton.
