I believe he needed to attempt to stop the Krug shot that happened .5 seconds before Campbell scored.

My goodness, how much is the Glendening line going to play this period? Haven't seen the kid line in forever.

Abby is doing great work this season. Always willing to go to the net and play in the tough areas of the ice.

Tatar is way too nonchalant with the puck. Great player, but he definitely needs to clean that part of his game up still.

The defense still gets worked by any hard forecheck. Best way to beat the Wings is just get on their defense because they turn it over or self-destruct. Really need a puck-mover or two back there.

If E and Kindl could somehow go away forever, that would be great. I'm generally a fan of Ericsson, but he hasn't been good this season and is atrocious tonight.

12 SOG in nearly two periods. The Wings are making it far too easy on teams the past two weeks.

E is about as bad defensively as Kindl. He's a turnover machine like when he first broke into the league. The Wings need major help on defense.

Kindl defaults to the drop pass no matter what is occurring on the ice during a power play.

Besides Kronwall and DeKeyser, this defense is a comedy of errors in their own zone.

9-1-2 when Stephen Weiss plays. I'm not sure what the effect is, but damn it he needs to be healthy.

Well, this is a lot more fun. The Wings needed this for their confidence. Great night all the way around except for everyone's favorite player.

Tatar earned that goal. He has been terrific tonight. Really like the Wings desperation and energy level the past two periods. Score here before the Sabres get their parity penalty.

Z looks much better with Pav. Everyone does really, but we needed to see Z get back on track and he has the past couple games. I thought for sure O'Halloran was going to get Abby for goaltender interference and waive off the goal.

Unless the prospect is Anthony Mantha, no one is going to bite on the other two.

The Wings actually didn't play bad in the second besides Kindl gifting another goal to the Sabres. Neuvirth is very beatable if they keep up the pressure in the third period. Losing Kronwall would be a disaster, though. This defense can't hold up long-term without him unless Howard steals a bunch of games. Hopefully it isn't too serious because more of Kindl, Smith and Quincey isn't going to end well.

Unfortunately, I think he's hurt. He got up very slowly from when he got sandwiched in the corner.

Couldn't agree more. I think the whole needing to play Kindl thing to increase his trade value can be put to sleep now. Other teams seeing him play like s*** does more harm than good. Just waive him or Lashoff and move on finally. Ouellet needs to be with the Wings permanently if we are truly intent on having the best team possible.

Yeah Babs, keep Smith and Kindl together. They almost just gave up their third from being clueless.

Kindl and Smith -2 and completely lost defensively together. Ouellet in Grand Rapids, though.

This is horrendous hockey. The Wings can't even make a simple pass to transition to offense. Everything in the neutral zone has no flow at all. Weiss is seriously the good luck charm. Kindl does a lot of stupidity on the ice, but he is actually one of the only d-men that consistently gets shots from the point on net.
