Jurco and the Euro Twins dominate the third period on Tuesday and yet aren't together tonight? That seems logical. The Wings have 35 centers -- it's not like Pavel and Z absolutely need to play apart now.

You do have to admire how this team never quits. I mean they shouldn't have put themselves in this position for starters, but they could have thrown in the towel at 4-1.

Not gonna argue that one. Part of that is Jurco's play, but a lot has to do with Franzen's disappearance lately.

Jurco looks so much better on that top line than Franzen did.

Probably due for a dud and this definitely qualifies. Certainly no less disappointing considering it's Florida, but this was just a poor performance all the way around. I think the biggest concern is allowing 11 goals the past three games. Very sloppy defensively with all of the turnovers.

This looks more like the defense we expected before the season started. Playing down to the competition yet again.

Jurco with Z and Pavel finally! Franzen has been nonexistent again lately. I hope Jurco gets an extended shot on that top line.

Smith needs to be paired with DeKeyser. The Wings still desperately need a top four d-man too, despite their winning ways. The defense has been better than expected most games so far, but it's almost where you hope they aren't collectively horrible than actually being good.

I can considering it has been a huge need for years now and has still yet to be addressed. That being said, I will defend Holland and say I am glad he hasn't overpaid for someone like Tyler Myers or Mike Green just to have a righty d-man.

I'm mostly in the XO needs to keep playing regardless camp, but I do acknowledge the downside to having Kindl sit. I just don't know there's a market for Kindl now or into the future based on his play so far this season. This situation is on Holland. Everyone pretty much knew at least one of the d-men prospects was NHL ready going into the season and he didn't unload Kindl and brought back Quincey too. Granted, Quincey has been fine, but now the path to staying in Detroit is completely blocked for XO or maybe someone like Marchenko. Babs clearly isn't pleased with Kindl and has praised Ouellet's play, so I'm not certain this would be his ideal decision either.

Just get rid of Lashoff. He's a plug anyways and Ouellet is better than Kindl. Another case of "overripe" when it isn't necessary.

Gus! Oh my, the Detroit Red Wings have won a shootout. Two more points. I love watching this team play. They never stop competing.
