Just horrendous defensively. It doesn't matter which goalie plays in front of this collection of defenders. Holland had DD land his lap and yet otherwise has done nothing to improve this group since Nick, Stu and Rafalski left. Is there any reason Holland couldn't target a center AND d-man or is that too much trading for the tire kicker?

Well, it doesn't get any less frustrating even though it happens every single game. You knew they would blow it -- just figured it would come in the third.

Bertuzzi with his trademark: a penalty in the offensive zone. Although, I don't know how Gionta's feet went out when it appeared Bert slashed him around the wrists at worst.

His value is so low, the return would be minimal. I would rather see Weiss get healthy and contribute like he has before in his career. I think he deserves more of a chance here until the contract is declared an overwhelming failure. -

I personally always liked him more than Miller, but Eaves' health unfortunately hurt his case. Once Miller re-signed, it was basically the end for Eaves as they are redundant. Hope he succeeds in Nashville and earns a contract somewhere next season. -

You don't make up ground with games in hand by losing. Eventually the Wings are going to need to win more than those other teams instead of banking on them losing because everyone plays 82. -

Monster has to start tomorrow. The team just wins with him in net and that's more important than anything right now. Jimmy isn't getting the job done the past two games and I don't fault him entirely, but that record is pathetic looking. They could easily be 4-0 out of the break and those three lost points are massive. The script of the season is injuries and blown leads. -

Four guys covering neither the puck nor anyone else in the zone. Hate to single out the kids because they were awesome, but this is three out of the past four games they have been on the ice for a tying or game-winning goal. Controlled play most of the night and still only got a point. You gotta think these OT/SO losses are going to be the undoing in the end. -

Franzen has stunk tonight. Odd for him against the Avalanche. Now they start calling penalties after 60 minutes of letting everything go and it looked pretty weak at that. -

Better than the New Jersey result, but the Wings really need this extra point. I think that has been said approximately 50 times this season and actually happened twice. -

The Wings have played great and controlled most of the game. I don't think lack of interest is the problem here. Couple of bad breaks in front of his own net by Mule. The blown lead thing has certainly run its course, but there's plenty of time to win this game. -

That's a hook, but the massive one on Legwand earlier wasn't? Interesting interpretation of the rules, as usual. I would say that Kronner goal was more Z like than anyone. His backhand is terrific. -
