Manny Legace? Besides, the two other main goalies during that time were Ozzie and Hasek. Jimmy has been consistently good throughout his entire career. Beyond the Capitals and Blues games, he has been quite strong the past month.

Abby has been terrific lately. No way Bert or Cleary make that play if they are parked in front of the net instead.

Why are people mad at Howard? DeKeyser took an ill-advised shot directly into traffic with the PP over and couldn't get back on defense to cover for it. DD is a fine player, but he has shown nothing to date that he is capable of handling the point effectively on the PP. What does it say about the quality of the d-men when only two are playing on the PP for both units and finding two even is a struggle?

I have always liked Eaves more. Unfortunately, not being healthy has hampered his ability to consistently be in the lineup like Miller. I think it is redundant to have both with a logjam at forward, but Eaves brings more to the team overall. I would keep both Miller and Eaves over Andersson, though.

I would prefer Andersson to sit, but I don't see that as being realistic. My guess is Jurco just because Babs loves having Glendening on the team. I would rather keep Sheahan and Jurco around as long as possible over Glendening, though.

Kronwall and Smith didn't get murdered playing together at all. They did it the entire time E was gone and were fine at both ends. That's why I suggested the pairing -- Quincey and Kindl don't make Smith better, but Kronwall did. Also, I hardly recall Smith playing with DeKeyser at all. Maybe Lashoff some, but Smith's partner was almost exclusively Quincey before E was hurt. I do agree that getting another d-man is imperative regardless. Someone that can move the puck and chip in offensively is a big need for the Red Wings.

None are desirable, but I would say Smith if he's paired with Kronwall. Smith played his most composed and confident hockey when E was out. Smith just isn't going to work getting stuck with the likes of Quincey or Kindl. He needs someone that can cover for him and allow him to jump into the play offensively.

Abby! Huge win on back-to-back nights. Finally getting some traction at the Joe and winning some games there. Z's line and the kids were very strong again. The Canucks looked horrible, but glad the defense and Jimmy picked up a shutout.

That is such a terrible penalty to take at this stage of the game. Just sloppy focus and those are the ones that usually end up in the net.

The kid line is special. They create scoring chances and sustain pressure practically every shift. I think Jurco is going down if Pav comes back this week, but he has been really good tonight.

I don't think we have reason to doubt Pavel's motives. If he can't go, that's good enough for me.

Anyone with a pulse that plays defense. Seriously though, the Red Wings need talent and depth on the back end. Quincey and Kindl shouldn't be dressed -- I would be suprised if there's a market for either at this point. The Wings should jump on any offer from a team willing to rent Quincey.

They didn't call interference. It was a "trip" from Brouwer stepping on Smith's stick. Z got mauled at the end of regulation and they overlooked that.

Is the Tatar line even playing anymore? Seems like it's just Z and Helm.

Officiating sucks, but what is the PK strategy? I've never seen a team just allow unlimited access to the slot.
