Could someone please post a working link to the correct page for the Center Ice preview. The one that I've tried to use doesn't work. It takes me to the page, but there is no registration process to follow, and no link to sign up. Some british dude keeps telling me the URL I am trying to use in invalid.

There isn't enough experience or talent there to be a number 2 pairing. You can't put that pair at number 3 because you'd have to move Cheli to the 2nd pair, which won't happen.
-
Here is what those stats show. With nearly the same number of games played, and much less PT, Lebda has put up nearly identical numbers. Keep in mind that Kronwall also is playing with better players (typically the 1st and 2nd line forwards, and on a PP unit) while Lebda is pretty much just a even strength guy. I'm not saying that Lebda is far and away better than Kronwall. Or even that he has more potential. I'm just putting it in black and white. Regardless of opinion here, there really isn't much difference between Lebda and Kronwall. Oh, except for the lack of consistent injury problems on Lebda's part.
-
Here are some interesting stats. Lebda - 8G 22A 30P in 120GP +/- 25 over 2 seasons with the Wings. Kronwall - 3G 33A 36P in 115GP +/-17 over 3 seasons with the Wings. What I find really interesting is this, Lebda has averaged about 14 minutes of ice time per game over his career. Kronwall has averaged about 20. Lebda is putting up very similar numbers, with much less ice time, and almost 0 PP minutes. So who is really more bang for the buck?

First, when ihas Kronwall able to stay healthy? All signs point to a serious injury at some point in this season. Second, it doesn't matter how much skill or potential he may have. He hasn't proved any of that. Third, it doesn't matter what he has done anywhere outside of the NHL. Why? Because he hasn't done anything in the NHL. Finally, Kronwall is a decent dman when he is healthy and paired with someone who is better than he is. Comparing apples to apples, I'd take Lebda for a few reasons. 1. He can stay healthy enough to play. 2. He has incredible speed ( I for one would love to see a Rafalski, Lebda pairing.) 3. Leba has proven to be more effective for the Wings. You should see him get more ice time on the PP and PK this year.

Kronwall is vastly overrated. You get eaten alive on this board for saying anything bad about him during the season. But look at the facts. 1. He has never been able to stay healthy enough to finish an entire season. Regardless if you believe it is bad luck, or how he plays the game, you can't be a star in the NHL without being able to compete. And you can't compete from the press box. 2. While he does turn in a few dazzling passes, he more than makes up for it with boneheaded plays with the puck. 3. He isn't afraid to hit anyone, in any situation. Unfortunately, this leads to two things. First and foremost, going for the hit often puts him in bad or completely out of position. Secondly, it opens up the door for more injuries to an injury prone guy. 4. As someone else pointed out, his injuries aren't the same thing over and over again. What's that mean? It isn't something that can be fixed. Some players are very lucky with injuries, Nick Lidstrom. Some guys are very unlucky, Nick Kronwall. Bottom line, this guy has show, at best, a few spurts of what he supposedly can do. I don't care what he has done on the international stage, this is the NHL we are talking about. It's a totally different game. The Wings brass obviously saw some potential in him. However, I think it's foolish to say he is going to be a number 1 or 2 guy. He simply hasn't shown anything to prove that. Remember, playing with Lidstrom makes everyone look better. Even Paintrain.

I' surprised so many of you are suggesting anything to do with Grigs and Grand Rapids. He will be up with the big boys, or back in Russia. It's in his contract.

Ninety-one. Back to reality, I think Aaron Ward would be an excellent addition to the blue line.

Personally, I use the TPS Responce Plus. The older style, back when they only made the Responce, Responce Plus, and Responce xn10. But please, give me a link where there is a $40 TPS one piece! I'm still pissed they discontinued my curve, again.

Try a nice one piece stick. It does make a significant difference. They will give a mediocre shot some bite, and can make a good shot even better. If you don't have soft hands, these sticks aren't for you. But if you do have soft hands, you will appreciate the increased 'feel' level that they provide. Factor in the reduced weight of the one piece stick if nothing else, that makes a huge difference. Lastly, no one piece of equipment will increase you skill level. You are looking at that all wrong. What the proper equipment will do for you is allow you to maximize the use of your talent. Some of which you may not even be aware that you have!

In my past experiences, anytime you buy anything from HA, you will pay a pretty penny for it. I've been able to find much better deals on Ebay, and most of the items still come with a COA. As for the 'O' stick, a friend of mine is a manager at a Play It Again Sports, he said it is highly unlikely to find it for less than $230, as that is pretty close to the cost of the stick.

While the founding date is likely around the year 1750, which would be about 250 years, could the 250 represent the total goals scored by Penguins not named Mario or Sidney?

Here is my quick breakdown. St. Louis and Chicago have gotten significantly better. The Jackets remained about the same. While Nashville has gotten worse. Detroit still has to be the favorite to win the division, but it will take a bit more effort this season, than did last. I don't think Detroit has really made any moves that could be argued as significant improvements over last seasons squad. I do believe that seeing Hank and Pav having one more year under their belts will help, and a solid young d corp should be better. The real question for the Wings is this. Can Hasek hold up another season? If he can't, I think the Wings will really have to fight to win this divison, and potentially make it in the top 6 playoff teams in the West. I don't think anyone would argue Detroit being a lock to make the playoffs, if for no other reason than the weak division they play in. Possibly the weakest in the league. Lastly, I just don't see how the Ducks are strong favorites to win the West, and repeat as Cup champs.
-
I also would like to know what the 250 is for? Maybe it's the average winning percentage the Pens put up since 2000?
-
First off, that wasn't a fight, that was a mediocre scuffle at best. Second, fighting in the NHL is a completely different bag than fighting in any Euro-league.

That deal doesn't even happen in the video game.

Wings choose Generals to substitute for Storm
BringHomeTheCup! replied to wingsfan40's topic in General
Yeah, but no one goes to those games. -
My kid bro is playing for the Rangers this year, it should be fun to watch him get smoked by a bunch of 'old washed up guys'.

I think you are confused. What is making you sick to your stomach is being a Dolphins fan and thinking about how much better the Patriots are. This has nothing to do with the comparison of the Wings and the Patriots. I am going on record here, the Hawks are the Dolphins of the NHL.

Seriously, just use symbols for all the 'things we can't handle' that Crawford said to Bowman. I don't think the Mods would mind that at all.

Wood? They still make those? Try using a two-piece with a grapite blade. The TPS Rubber shafts are just about unbreakable. They are awesome. If you really want to use a wood stick, that doesn't weigh 10 pounds, Montreal's are nice.

It should. But I do forsee a few other players on the Wings starting to develop a 'chronic wrist problem' because she is here.

Slow down there. 30 goals from Lang? He only had 39 in two years with Detroit! He netted 19 last year. Given the price tag that it took to sign Bert, along with the 1st round selection Detroit would have given up, I couldn't see any reason to re-sign him. He is a gamble. Burke may have put himself in a real pickle by signing Bert and Matty. God forbid Neids and Selanne want to come back. While all indications are that Markov will sign elsewhere, he is still an UFA. However, I think Kenny would rather sign someone like Visnevski or Sutton. Kenny does still need to add a top 6 winger and a top 4 dman. Let's see what he has in mind.
