Ok, I guess this needs a clarification. NHL Center ICE may or may not include the NHL Network, I believe it depends on how your service provider has it set up. For some people, NHL Network is grouped with the regular Center ICE channels. For others, this channel is separate from Center ICE. If you look on the DirecTV Center ICE schedule linked above, channel 215 is NHL Network exclusively. So basically, if you don't get NHL Network with Center ICE, the free preview starts on the 9th.

This one is called GameCenter Live and they'll have a free preview October 10-12. Might be good for some fans during first week of regular season. Nothing on preseason though.

Btw, this Sunday is 9/28 , not 9/30.

My first entry mistakenly included a player who is on a current roster, but was added this year, so he has not played a game on both teams. I re-submitted a second entry fulfilling the requirements. Hopefully I won't be penalized per the "1 entry per person" limit ? Thanks JayUp88 and Matt!

@Cicada, The Tampa Bay Lightning do participate in the Traverse City prospect tournament. The 1.4gb Xvid rip is uploading on nhltorrents.co.uk right now. A DVD (4.7gb ISO) will be uploaded after that first one has finished, but with my slow upload speed, that DVD will take forever.

The $10 rebate is only for the Special Edition DVD (the one that hasn't come out yet .. it will probably be around $40 and have all the games). The rebate isn't for this DVD that came out today. I'm on it. It will be on nhltorrents.co.uk tomorrow.

I'm glad somebody could find the time, because I could have watched that third period 100 times over, I would have never found that. I simply don't see what you're seeing I guess. That play looks nothing out of the ordinary to me. I played it in super slow motion and all I saw were two players turning towards the inside of the ice, Sakic trying to get to the left of his puck carrier so he can fly up the left side. Franzen was focused on the puck carrier and wasn't looking where he was going, he shouldn't have to. I didn't see Sakic make a beeline, I saw him trying to skate up ice faster so he could join the rush. Also, if you watch it in super-slow-motion like I did, it looks like Sakic is trying to avoid the hit, not make it. If he doesn't jump forward at the last second it is a collision. Kind of funny how I took a Sakic cheapshot attempt and turned it into a "thank god for Sakic jumping out of the way" but in my eyes that is exactly what happened there. It's probably the awkwardness of the near-collision that got you thinking otherwise.

I'm going through it right now like a hawk, and I can't find it. Possible the FSN feed didn't have it in frame, line changes are usually on puck dumps and FSN's cameras follow the puck. They don't focus on the line change.
