Maybe outcast was the wrong word to use ( I do that alot .lol.) but even in the new NHL it would be frowned upon by the other GM's if Kenny did make any offer sheet's. As you said It's an unwritten rule between GM's , it's just not the done thing.

It was probably ment as a compliment that someone like Steve Yzerman said that he's good enough to play with a competitive team like Detroit.

At time's during the season I was thinking . How much would the Wings miss him if Schnieder were to leave??? As you said the Duck knew if they shut down Lids they take away a big part of the Wings offence. And it probably wasn't until the Playoff's that I realised that if Schnieder did leave it would weaken the defence's offence bigtime . We can't afford to lose him.

For me the key to everything that the Wings do is Schnieder and what he's looking for . The guy's been a pretty good player for us the past few season and will probably be asking for a raise. As for Bert I would be surprised if he didn't take a paycut to stay a Wing . For me Markov is a keeper he does a good job as a solid D- man and would probably be looking for around 3 or 3.5 mil. I can't see much of a problem signing up Cheli or Rex. Hopefully Dom will stay and play at least one more great season.

I actually do think that he's got the potential to be a franchise player. He's been a solid player and has stepped up and been counted when it matters most in the Playoff's , As you said he seems to be a leader ,and is still pretty young and inexperienced, if he keeps improving the way he has been he could be a great player for years to come.

I was pretty happy when Malts signed his extension . The guy is still doing a great job and I'm all for seeing him finish his career in Detroit.

Well I'm from Scotland and the rivalry and hatred between Celtic and Rangers is so much that people have lost their lives because of it . but when Rangers play in Europe I want them to win because it's for the good of my country that ALL teams are playing well and representing their country. Do you understand what I'm saying know .??? I'm not questioning anybodys National pride or anything what I'm saying is that a Canadian team hasn't won the Cup for a long time and I thaught that just maybe most Canada would want one of their own to win.

I suppose it gives us something controversial to talk about with no Red Wings hockey to talk about.
