People have been haten us since we went back to back. And it all comes from jealousy. In the eyes of everyone else we are the evil superpower. The empire from starwars if you will. Think about, we have a bunch of old guys, and other teams have a bunch of young guys. (Chelios can be Darth Vader and Toews can be Luke Skywalker)(Chewbacka can be Franzen ... err, other way around) So, what's wrong with the NHL marketing that? The NHL needs more fans, and I hate to say it but, the majority of the fans it's marketing to are not Red Wing fans. P.S. Our future will be a bit more brighter than the Evil Empire.

Just a thought but, what if Franzen only turns into gretsky in the post season... thus we would have to give him a small contract... talk about a loop hole through the cap. In my eyes he's a wild card. But don't forget, he's going to be playing with a sniper, (Z or the Hoss) and if he's infront of that goalie... well lets just say you don't want to be that goalie. I think a major factor will be if people understimate him.

And that's all I care about. A good team. Back that top-6 up with the one of the best top 4s in the NHL, and we should be able to hold our own.

Like the other poster said, you have two Lidstroms. First of all, that would be amazing. However, cloning is not yet posible. So the total would come to 48.85.(?) Hossa could fit. But, as you said Kenny would need to use some of his magic. (which we all know he has) If the cap goes as far up as the writer suggests, then it is vary possible. Espically is Z takes a nice 7.25ish deal. [edit] You posted before me. Darn.
