So far Helm and Howard (as usual) are standing out. I expect the Z-D-B line to look better as the game progresses.

Kronwall is a better PP QB then many give him credit for. Him + Zetter will make a very significant difference. But yeah, lately it's been just meh. -
So I was thinking back to 2008 when the Red Wings won the Stanley Cup, and I remembered how the teams salary was only 48.3 million dollars. Players like Zetterberg, (2.65) Franzen, (.950) and Filppula (.733) all had cap hits that one might call a "steal". So my question is, for the 2009/2010 season, which Red Wing do you think has the best cap hit / actual skill ratio? Howard? Bertuzzi? I'm not so sure.

By sending back equal salary. I think Kovy is only making like 6.5 right now. The rumors are, in fact, that Chicago is a front runner for Kovalchuk.

These 10 pm games start at 10 pm for me. Booooooo! In all seriousness, I still view Anaheim as our biggest rival, and I would enjoy nothing more than to watch the Wings CRUSH them. Lets go Red Wings.

I think those grades are very accurate. Good job Mr. Khan. If our big players can step up, (or atleast play to there potential) and our returning players play solid, this team will be quite good in the second half. I really hope players like Howard and Bertuzzi keep their play on the level it is, without them I don't know where the Wings would be right now! Lets Go Red Wings!

Yeah he's a good one. I'd say right now Helm is worth roughly 1.5-2 million. He might be able to hit 2-3 on the open market. He's so fast lol. That empty net goal he had was probably the prettiest empty netter i've ever seen!

I kind of agree. It feels like last year the Wings were scoring goals they didn't deserve, and this year they arn't scoring goals they do deserve haha. (if that makes any sense) I have no doubt that Lidstrom and Dats will pick it up in time. Howard is playing very well. Once Z-man and Kronwall get back life should be easier. -

At least it's only two weeks. Unfortunatly in those two weeks we play Chicago and Columbus twice! Time for Datsyuk, Lidstrom, and Howard to get it done.

Times like this i'm just thankful it's not Dats, Z or Lidstrom. (knocks on wood) I hope these injuries make us better come playoff time. In the meantime its the Detroit Red Wings vs. Adversity.
