I'm pretty sure it was Stamkos but can't find it on yt Edit: Kane:
-
That's why they invented putting numbers on jerseys..
-
It means that he's lazy and he sucks.
-
So now I'm looking forward to a trade & seeing some headshots on Lilja in the playoffs....

Barring serious injuries, there is no way Lidstrom is retiring after this year. He still has the skill, desire to play and he's the captain of a contender, which means playing some more years could give him a couple more Stanley Cup rings Is there any better motivation to stay in the game?

Ericsson: 4-5 fights Bert, Stuart, Eaves: 2 fights each Franzen: 2 mouthguards

The new deal kicks in next season, so it doesn't affect this years' cap.. Edit: The contract is rumoured to be over 10-12 years..

Schneider wasn't desperate. He told his agent he only wanted to play in Vancouver because he said it was best for him and his family. Schneider said he kind of "handcuffed" him.

To me, our physical play is not that much of a concern. We showed we can hit and play gritty, we're able to outhit teams like Calgary or San Jose (and we did it). The thing I want of these guys is to stick up for each other - I hate watching one of our players getting pushed, shoved and abused by a Calgary/Edmonton/whatever player and our other four just standing and staring at it or pretending they don't see it. If we can change it, then we will no longer be "the pussiest" team.

They wrote a similar thing about Matlby there, so no real need to bother  For $550k, I like that deal.
-
Rafalski is overpayed, but every defenseman now is, so I'm ok with that. I hope we get O'Neill to shoot from the left crircle on the PP and we're set.
-
Wouldn't they be satisfied with Lilja alone? You know, he had decent playoffs..
-
Zetterberg, Datsyuk and Holmstrom had great chemistry and for some part of the season they were the best-scoring line in the league. That's why we need a 2nd line center (Filppula isn't ready yet) - to keep the mentioned three together (not all the time, Zetterberg can sometimes play 2nd line C, no problem with that.) We also need a 2nd line center in case of injuries on our top lines.

In that case, who would want him?
-
Don't count Preissing, he's gone. Why would they want to trade Redden? They have a complete, competitive team and Wade is part of it, they have no cap problems etc., so why?
-
Not a surprise actually, it was rather a question of time. Good deal for Leafs anyway, though 5-and-not-any-more-million a year would sound beter to me if I was a Leafs' fan.
-
It seems he's that good almost all the time. I don't think he's known as a goalie who can steal games, but he definitely is a clear-cut starter and still a young player - he's only 23, he will be better in the future, maybe even a Vezina contender in few years' time

Yes, it's true: Celios - performance bouns of 0.300 Hasek - performance bonus of 1.100 nhlnumbers.com

Letting Markov go won't hurt our defence as much as parting ways with Schneider will hurt our powerplay. I'ts as simple as that - on D we have Lilja, Quincey, Meech to get Markov's spot, but do we have a player to replace Schneider on the point? Saying Samuelsson is a joke and Kronvall is nowhere near Schneider's skills when it comes to moving and especially shooting the puck on the powerplay (at this point though).
