It's sad, I read an article (might have been on mlive) about how Lil's longest headache-free stretch at a time is only like 9 hours. I can't imagine how bad that would suck. He also said that anything that requires him to focus intently triggers the headaches, like driving or even just trying to watch a game. Said he couldn't do it. I don't know if that has changed or what. I guess it has been a couple weeks since I read that article. Hopefully he's feeling a lot better. I believe in the same article he said it would only take him a couple of practices to get his timing and hockey feeling back, but that it would take a little longer to get his conditioning up to snuff. Right now he literally can't do anything but sit around and suffer through the headaches. Rafalski said he had a concussion too and the hardest part of the recovery was the sitting around and waiting for the symptoms to subside so he could start working out and practicing again. I hope Lilja takes his time and recovers 100%. We'll be back in the playoffs again this time next year! That said, it would be awesome to see him play again this year. As far as Drapes goes I've got my #33 hanging in plastic in the closet and I'll be breaking that out as soon as he gets a shift!

Holmstrom is always good on the road when it's harder, I say he nets a couple. Helm goes crazy and gets the GHHT. Give a couple to the top 5 crew of Dats-Z-Hossa-Mule-Fil and one to Stewie. I predict an early bj goal to draw first blood, but Dat's goal ties it after a few minutes. Wings go off in the second and totally dominate scoring 4 unanswered goals. In the third they lock it down defensively and Stewie gets his 3rd period goal on the pp after a frustration-fueled bj penalty. LETS GO RED WINGS!!

Losing atdhe.net sucks extra bad for me. I can never get any of the other links to work because I run linux and for some reason all these pricks are streaming via winblows media player. I can subscribe to hockeystreams.tv and watch it on the sucky windoze workstation here at work but I don't have (or want) any winblows machines at home. I wouldn't mind subscribing to centerice, but then I would still have to pay for hockeystreams.tv to see weekend games while I'm at work. atdhe.net was so perfect...

I thoroughly enjoyed watching the spanking the Rangers gave them the other night! I don't know what I think about Malkin yet, but I will say I loved that slap shot he made during a shootout or breakaway last year. That was friggin' great! I wish I had that vid, but I couldn't find it anywhere.

I was at the game tonight and the legions of Wings fans were in full force. Just walking to the arena before the game there were "LET'S GO RED WINGS" chants booming across the parking lot. Inside it was just an ocean of red and white jerseys. Here's a crappy pic I took with my phone to show how many Wings ambassadors come to the games out here. All of the white and red in the pic are Wings jerseys and shirts. All those maroon spots are just empty seats! We don't call it "Joe Louis West" for nothing! I can't wait for the next game out here on January 20th. Go Wings!
