Holland's seeming to be playing hardball with him much like he did with Markov with the way he's been talking. Rumor is we're offering him 3 mil and I know he can get more on the free market in this league. Plus the rumors about his wife not legally being allowed to leave the state of California because of a child from a previous marriage.

Iggy but seriously everything I've read about Mclellan says that he's going to be pretty tough to replace... had some forechecking method apparently that was pretty new fangled and it worked pretty well for us. -

yeah but it seems like in Minny he plays in a dump and chase system not saying he can't adapt to the puck possession we play , just saying I'm not nearly as excited about him as I was last season after seeing what this team can do by itself. I guess I wouldn't really mind Rolston for 3 yr/ 3 million but I'm not terribly excited about it either. -

i was high on rolston at the start of the season but now I'm just really meh about it He's slowing down and doesn't really fit our system to be honest -
i was saying if stuart left, which is looking very likely at the moment. Lebda in the second pairing? god... hah ok he was solid

didn't Yzerman basically say that Lidstrom was the best player on the team while he was still playing Don't really think there's much question here, Lidstrom is probably the best defenseman ever in terms of playing defense. -
I'm all for looking into Markov if Stuart doesn't stay Lidstrom-Rafalski Kronwall-Markov Lilja-Lebda/Chelios/Meech/Ericsson/

eh franzen has established himself as a top sixer now so the 2nd line in filp-franzen-(forward) which isn't bad really
