is this not switching over to Ana v. Dallas or what
-
Good win, if Detroit can get its problems in its zone fixed then we'll be a lot better off. Hasek really saved us at a couple points in this game, and you can't rely on him to do that every single night by any means.
-
We're in a lot of trouble if Detroit doesn't get its s*** straightened out in it's own zone right now

oh god oh god oh god *panics* *paces* *sits back down* *repeats for 8 hours*

Nashville New York( going to be a close series either way) Philadelphia(seem built for a playoff grind) Ottawa(tough not to remember last years trouncing of pitt) Colorado( series kind of seems like a 50/50, honestly).
-
Let's remember that Bowman has a long and storied history of saying things and doing completely opposite things. He honestly just likes to mess around with people I think, so I wouldn't put much stock in this at all.
-
From the depths of my manically depressed soul: please don't mess this up

"Are you in?" They chose the one that could most be worked into a joke I guess

Draper ready for Game 1, but Stuart is 'questionable'
omnipotent_hudler replied to 40#1Fan's topic in General
crap is all I can really say about Stuart. He'd be really helpful to us if he was 100%. Even if he plays now he's not going to be as big of a help that he could be. -
If things are going well( Wings have lead) I will simply stop moving whatsoever. However I'm sitting, wherever I'm sitting, I stay there. I don't get up for food or to use the bathroom at all. Unless the other team takes the lead I will basically do this for the whole game. I criticize basically every single play they make as they make it when they're ahead in the game. I don't know why, it's like I'm trying to downplay my hopes by pointing out to everyone how terrible they are doing( even during the Calgary game when they were ahead 4-1). When they're losing I'm basically silent. I'll sometimes turn the volume off and watch the game on mute(if its possible where I am) just to escape from the tension a little bit. god, this is the worst and best time of year

Yeah, for the record, I picked the Wings to win in 7. I honestly think it's going to be a close series, and if the Preds win it won't surprise me at all.
-
Caps are definitely my secondary team in the playoffs this year. Let's just hope that the relative inexperience of a good portion of their lineup doesn't choke. With veterans like Kolzig, Fedorov, and Nylander in the room though, they should be fine... Caps in 7
-
Our record against the rest of those teams is better in comparison to the preds.
-
I'm sufficiently terrified of the Preds at this point. They're basically the team I was hoping that we wouldn't play all along. I think the circumstances at this point are ripe for an upset... Preds in 6 is what keeps popping up in my mind

1st Round Opponent: Flames or Predators
omnipotent_hudler replied to RedLightGoesOn's topic in General
I'm terrified. I was pulling for a Vancouver match up. I don't really have any confidence at all in our ability to win 4 games in a two week span against them. -
Carolina v. Ottawa is going to be interesting with the trades.. Carolina actually seems to have gotten the better of that deal somehow.
-
This team can win the cup. It isn't playing like that right now, though. I personally don't see us getting out of the second round right now, but if this team wakes up and starts playing like they can there isn't a club in the league that can stand up to us.

He's also standing around a lot in his own zone.

Showing my ultimate love for the red and white

Boy, are you gonna feel silly when the NHL moves the Wings to New Orleans as the "New Orleans Levies" in 2025 -
Brodeur has played great, but i'd still put Malkin, Lidstrom and Ovy ahead of him. He's playing on a team that plays a stifling defensive system in the wide open east... Obviously they've lost a lot of talent, but the system itself is pretty resilient, especially when you have players who know how to play in it. I think NJ would probably be in the playoffs if they had a good goalie instead of an incredible one, in other words. On the other hand, Pitt would probably be on the bubble if it weren't for Malkin's effort after Crosby was injured, the Caps would be nowhere without Ovy, and Detroit is much more dependent upon Lidstrom than anyone really realizes. There is a reason that one of our worst losing streaks of the season took place during the short time he was out.

hahaha christ I feel bad for that reporter. By far the funniest post game show I've seen this year.
-
Ovy shouldn't win unless his team makes the playoffs. Malkin should get heavy consideration, as should Lidstrom. I honestly have trouble seeing how it could be any besides those 3 this year.

Thread title needs changing: HASEK or OsGOD I think we all know the answer to this question

I'd love to read it... Can't get enough history, add in sports and I'm hooked
