Didn't we go over the whole sarcasm thing already? Oh, and, once again, omnipotence != deity. Sorry.
-
Are you really playing this game?
-
Yes, because I don't think that they'll win it clearly means I'm not a fan. Chill out. They've been playing like s*** and they have to play one of the best teams in the west a day after a road game, the odds aren't in their favor by any means.
-
and we have to the Ducks now on a back to back. Well I guess that'll be one more 3 game losing streak for this season.
-
Maybe after he's dealt, you can understand the nature of sarcasm. I know those emoticons make you laugh/turn you on by the rate at which you use them, but there are other things in this world that can be funny sometimes. Maybe you could take a break from your daily emoticon fetish though and figure that out. edit: omnipotence isn't a synonym for God. Is there an emoticon for ignorance?

Maybe when Hudler is shipped off I'll have to stop putting up with your posts, so it's basically worth it. he has the flu, idiot.

Should the NHL have first round byes in the playoffs?
omnipotent_hudler replied to ProfessorLidstrom5's topic in General
No, no and no. One of the best parts about the playoffs is whichever team wins has to suffer through the dreaded "grind" of 16 wins. Bye's take that away. I really think that if you want to lift that cup you should have to suffer as much as any team, even if you are the best in your conference/division/league at the end of the regular season. -
Hopefully Phaneuf pans out for Calgary. Right now I don't think he is worth 6.5 per year, but then again most of the contracts being signed lately make my head hurt. Maybe this will end up as a steal in a few years for the Flames.

Forsberg Going to the Rangers, Red Wings or Flyers...(e4)
omnipotent_hudler replied to a topic in General
The last thing the Rangers need is another underachieving forward this season -
Absolute bulls***. Sorry, but there's no way to defend against it. It's a clear subversion of the cap and a blatant attempt to gain an enormous edge in the playoffs. You're fooling yourself if you truly thought after the start of the season that neither of these players intended to come back. So after this cup are the Ducks going to let Pronger, Neidermayer and Selanne sit out until may this time? Selanne was completely healthy, Forsberg has not been able to skate for the majority of the year. Don't try to compare them, because they are completely different situations. And I call you out on your assumption that I'd welcome Selanne with open arms. No player should be allowed to sit out this much of the season for any other reason other than injury, and FA's who sign late in the year should have to meet a quota of games to qualify for the playoffs. Where would that number be? right at 50.01%(the majority of the season).

People who are talking about him coming back this year need to get real. He might look healthy and fit in the IHL but in the NHL its a whole different story. I severely doubt he'll regain NHL conditioning by the end of this year.
-
hahaha, "it's the stiffest stick i ever felt, and it's so long..."
-
Um, those guys could still skate. Last time I checked you have to be able to skate to play hockey.
-
yeah f*** people who do that I mean there is no one on our team who has ever done that especially not during march of 1997 no sir

Looking for a veteran D-man...how about Danny Markov?
omnipotent_hudler replied to detroitdan's topic in General
wrong Markov there. I still contend our defense isn't tough enough. If we had signed markov for a 3.5-4 million deal for a year we would 1) not have to give up prospects at the deadline for a physical d man 2) not have to pay a ridiculous salary(especially in blake's case) 3) have the best D in the league by far -
YOU GONNA GET IT SAMUELSON YOU GONNA GIT IT YOU TOO YOU GONNA GET IT TOO DATSYUK I IS PROFESSIONAL HOCKAY PLAYER IGNORE MY HIGH PITCHED VOICE I hope ducks fans are looking forward to the cap issues that Neidermayer will cause next year. Especially if he retires and comes back again.. hello disciplinary action by the NHL.
-
This is really why Datsyuk is more critical to our team... He doesn't miss 10+ games a year, year after year. That back is going to be a nightmare for wings fans for years to come
-
Blake> Hossa if it comes down to one. Defense wins championships and ours has been looking rather porous lately. It's really starting to seem like a mistake that we didn't drop the $$$ on Markov. Now we're going to end up giving up prospects and taking a bigger cap hit on Blake.
-
I'm going to go ahead and speculate that anyone who takes the time to participate in a Red Wings community online is probably more than a "moderate" fan.
-
I move that we rename the thread "Wings vs. Canucks 2/17: There's a second half to the season!?"
-
figures the only game I go to this year ends up being the worst game the team has yet played. I don't buy into the idea that the wings "found their game" again in the second half. Atlanta just backed off and defended. The Wings still looked like s***... passing was god awful, NO communication on the ice between them(where was the bench yelling at lebda on the 2nd Hossa goal? Why wasn't Ozzie tapping his stick when Lidstrom almost got stripped by the guy from the penalty box?), and a lot of weak shots on goal. Absolutely horrendous
