I go to the shooting range and take shots at cardboard cutouts of Uwe Krupp, Curtis Joseph and Derian Hatcher. It helps relieve the stress.

My fantasy team is well aware of this why do you have to rub it in

No. I kinda wish we had signed Sopel though. Imagine our D without Lilja :

Bob Probert writes for new magazine.
omnipotent_hudler replied to Michigan In Play! magazine's topic in General
for the love of all that is good and sacred, why did you feel it was necessary to create 4 topics for this? -
it's not like it wouldn't be justified

So a recent thread in LGW got me thinking to what people on this board actually think about Sid the Kid and Hank the Tank. Say you're Ken Holland. You wake up tomorrow and there's a message on your machine from Ray Shero. He wants to move Crosby.... There's been no drastic changes in the kids play or anything, he just wants to move him. And he's talked to Crosby and Crosby is OK with being moved. The catch? He wants Zetterberg in return. Deal or no deal? I threw in a Datsyuk for Lecavalier as well just for kicks EDIT: Sorry folks; apparently I are stupid and screwed up the poll and cant edit it now

I'm still baffled as to why everyone thinks this: 1. Increase scoring 2. ???? 3. Profit!

LEAVE THE GAME THE WAY IT IS NO CHANGE For gods SAKE. What is this reasoning that 99% of people are using in regards to hockey? How in the world are low scoring games boring? Oh no, heaven forbid that a game might be decided by one goal! Oh, NO ONE is going to be excited when they know that their team scoring a goal actually means something But oh no, lets turn the NHL into basketball! 140 goals per game! the game is fine All we can possibly need right now is small changes. More consistency with penalties. Change the delay of game penalty. That's it

Does he play wing or center? Anyways, this is good news. If Detroit can nab him, we can maybe have two top producing lines. Or, if he cant quite make the jump to the second line that quickly, he can ease in on the fourth line. That would allow us to move Ellis, Kopecky or Samuelsson out of town.

where did our education system go wrong

First, I'm pretty sure Holland was joking, pointing out how much harder it is going to be to win without Lidstrom. I'm not even really sure that we as Red Wings fans will realize until he's gone how much of an impact #5 has on our team. Second, I think he could probably have a front office position. I'm pretty sure Yzerman is being groomed for GM, but Lidstrom could be an assistant or be the manager of our Swedish scouting team etc.

my condolences we didn't really look that great. Downey had two retarded penalties, Holmstrom's absence on the powerplay was definetly noted.. Couldn't seem to get the puck out of our zone when we needed to.

i'm going to hold you to this :octo: edit: apparently so is the octopus

Yes it should have

Hasek came out of the crease and practically ran into the guy. If the oiler had been homer and hasek had been another goalie and the ref had called a penalty everyone on this board would be pissed, and rightfully so.
-
The Pens seem to be in need of a goalie with Fleury out. Sabourin is not exactly a no. 1 tender.

Dude your angst is so totally spot on Give me a break. I really don't know what the christ you're getting on about him "diving" to make a highlight goal. I'm betting you he had to dive to make that play but from your perspective he didn't have to because you're so good at hockey you could have made that play standing up. Compare him to superstars from other sports, who talk themselves up in the media and make outrageous statements. He's very well spoken and overall pretty humble. And yes, he is the best player in the national hockey league, there's no question about it at all.

Oh god what have you done get out of this thread while you can

I think we all secretly hope for a Detroit Vs. Ottawa stanely cup finals match just so we can see Don Cherry go into shock at the fact that a SISSY EURO PANSY is going to captain a team to the cup.

I was more trying to poke fun at the "OMG CROSBY CROSBY CROSBY CROSBY" in the media. I don't have a problem with Crosby because, unlike some stars of other sports, he doesn't relish the attention. At least he doesn't seem to. He just seems to accept that he has been labeled as the poster boy from hockey and plays his game. In that I think he's a lot like Yzerman(though Yzerman never got this much attention).
-
Wow, it's pretty obvious really. Crosby's presence on the ice is more than enough to warrant him getting the 1st star vote every night. The fact that he dropped down to third tonight is a mere gesture of humility on his part, as he recognized the performance of two other players was far superior to his and asked to only receive the third star instead. are you ill yet?
-
so we already know one of them, let's try to guess the other 3! 1.Datsyuk 2. ??????Briere 3. ??????Modano 3. ?????? Jokinen It obviously can't be Crosby because he has camera's trained on him every second of his life
