What are you, five? Take that! NO, take that!! News: Punches to the FACE are now considered "borderline". However, Maltby getting PUSHED into Kipper is the equivalent of murdering babies. Views: Calgary fans -

Ugh, after reading that link, he's not the only one. -
Reading another forum that I frequent, someone watching TSN is saying that TSN is reporting that Lebda has suffered a concussion from Langkow's sucker punch on him.(Sorry if this has been posted in one of the other numerous post-game discussions, if it has then please delete this topic). I'll be watching the TSN site for a confirmation on this, if anyone else comes across a confirmation source feel free to post it. link to site(and thread) where I saw this: http://forums.somethingawful.com/showthrea...p;pagenumber=17 Direct quote from original "reporting" Hopefully if it's true it's not too bad and Lebda can play in game 6.

TSN reporting Lebda has suffered concussion

Good sir, you do realize that all human beings suffer from concussions, right? If you get hit hard enough, there is always the chance you will suffer a concussion. It's like saying: Why is a guy like that who suffers from bones breaking riding his bike? -
TSN reporting Lebda has suffered concussion

Source? I haven't seen confirmation yet. But this really sucks if we don't have Lebda for game 6 Edit: http://info.detnews.com/wingsblog/index.cfm reporting Lebda has a concussion that may indeed sideline him for the series. -
1. It's CBC, they're going to favor Canadian teams in most cases. 2. It's Don Cherry. Well, this one speaks for itself, I think 3. Sentence structure is good

TSN reporting Lebda has suffered concussion

Oh come on. I mean, I completley disagree with Jiggy_12, but he's atleast being civil in his arguments. No reason for this to devolve into name calling. Edit: No source yet, though the Detroit News is confirming Lebda did not finish the game. I'll keep my eyes open. -
Agreed. Keep Hudler in.

Time warp: 2001, wings lose in 6, give up 2-0 lead
omnipotent_hudler replied to WingedWheelin06's topic in General
Those of us who are pessimistic about this series now have a good reason to be. See: Last 3 post seasons. -
Really tough to stay positive after squandering our 2-0 lead. I know the series hasn't progressed the same way but this upcoming game 5 on saturday reminds me of Edmonton last year. Series tied at 2 games a piece, we have home ice. Edmonton ended up destroying us in that game.
-
I agree. Hudler should play. Though, I think we need Maltby for our PK. I would say bench Samuelson or Lang. I doubt Babcock changes the roster though unless we lose game 4. At the VERY least I would like to see Hudler become a permanent part of the lineup next season.
-
Tampa/NJ for me as well. I thought Pens/Sens was going to be a lot closer of a series than it was(of course its not over yet, just seems like the Sens are pretty dominant heading into game 5). Dal/Van was awesome in game 1 and kind of turned into the low scoring grinds that everyone was predicting after that. Besides that, I've found the Sabres/Islanders series to be pretty fun to watch, it's alot closer than I thought it would be.

Whoa.. sheesh I was just throwing out a suggestion. (Also, *continue* to put Zetterberg on the first line? I've never made a post suggesting lines before!) I just think that Datsyuk and Zetterberg have some chemistry with each other and to break it up would be risky. From my perspective(Note this is AN OPINION), Zetts is working his ass off, playing the body, throwing checks and working for the puck. Lang just doesn't seem to be doing that.
-
Seriously, I think even Crosby and Ovechkin would play poorly on a line with Lang Can't blame Calder for a bad line mate.
-
I really thought Lang was going to step it up for the playoffs, especially since last year he was one of our better players against Edmonton. Obviously he's not stepping it up though, and his lackluster play has continued. This is really hurting our second line because it seems like no matter who plays with him they are brought down to his level. So maybe some line combos of- Zetterberg-Datsyuk-Holmstrom Calder-Filpula-Samuelson Cleary-Draper-Maltby Hudler-Franzen-Bertuzzi Or something like that. I don't think the Draper-Cleary-Maltby line should be broken up with the way they've been playing, but the second line needs some serious work for sure.

What an effort by this checking line tonight

Yep. That series and the commentary that took place during it made me vow never to watch a CBC feed of a Red WIngs game agian.
-
NHL 3 is showing it if you have Sopcast http://www.myp2p.eu/NHL.htm

Versus has the CBC feed FSN it is!
